Oh, right, I forgot that Sandler made the lack of Hanukkah music a big part of his schtick.

Plus, there's Tom Lehrer's "Channukah in Santa Monica," and "Maoz Tsur." Though I was never sure why the latter was always considered a Channukah song.
The reason I'm on this thread is to ask if anyone else thought the red title was "Piece of my Heart" for most of the week?

I thought Heart also but I'm blind as a bat.

Shalom Rav and Sim Shalom. They suck tremendously.
(And, woah, I got a compliment after the concert. How can one get a compliment when in a chorus of over 100? Why, by bouncing and grinning when you sing!)

So like, are the fightmasters alive and well? particularly Sr.?

dunno.. fightmaster sr. seems to be in a perpetual logon/off cycle every five minutes or so on yahoo! messenger; i remember seeing jr. in IRC a couple days ago but haven't spoken with either of them more recently than that.

man, remember the good old days when the new folks would start popping off about where are the songs and why haven't the songs been posted, and the old timers would tell them to shut up and relax, how everything is done by volunteers, blah blah blah....
ah, the good old days...one fight. lots of reviews....

Just talked to Fightmaster Sr. on the telephone, and Sr. is doing fine, just has other stuff going on.
I have been informed that:
1. The update should happen sometime later this evening.
2. There is a 'special guest' as far as artwork goes!
I don't know about y'all, but I am excited on both counts!
ROCK!

I totally just poked the fuck out of the fence. Nice cover art on red, Bortwein; must have been odd to be out of your normal domain like that. Still no idea about the special guest though. Hmm!

Two things:
1. It is good that everyone is okay and all, and that new songs are coming soon.
2. Having met Glenn in person and seen him in action on his phone, I can assure you all that he does, indeed, have every single person in the world programmed into his cellular.

And yet he never calls me. *snif*
Oh wait, he only has my old Albuquerque number which doesn't work anymore. MWA HA HA.

I don't have EVERYONE in my cell phone by a long shot, but I guarantee that a few songfighters could tell you about how I like to use my weekend minutes to leave silly/stupid messages on their answering machines.
ROCK!

That's also a fairly common occurance when I have your phone number, you have an answering machine, and I have weekend minutes.

Wow... I really AM a dork!

I don't know if it's more hilarious that you kept it, or that you have now shared it with the whole songfight community.
Thank you, the 7 o'clock show is the same as the 9 o'clock show.
ROCK!

Hell, your guess is as good as mine.
I don't remember what the heck I was singing.

So ideally, the coverfight would involve just using that same basic tune and making up words on the spot, then.

i'd be inclined to say you'd have a better chance of that if you entered a song.

Yeah, that would probably be the method I would suggest.
Btw, Fluffy, Congratulations on the number of posts. Congratulations on joining this board long before there was an internet, for that matter. You must be psychic. It explains why you were in some of the earliest songfights.
ROCK!

I knew this place would be awesome someday, so I had to get my crap posted to it before that could happen.
