I like listening to melancholy music around the holidays so
Lonbobby's Eerie Tune has gotten some airtime the last couple weeks. Oh soooo haunting.

I'm in the process of putting together a sampler platter for my in-the-works "songfight events" web page and while doing that I put together a list of 10 songs that are excellent representatives IMAO of the diversity of talents among songfighters:
Glenn Case + Half Racks: Dark All Day (holy crap I love this song!)
Abominominous: That's Not What I Need (so friggin catchy)
Brother Machine: Foam Rubber (one of my alltime favs)
Future Boy: I Want to Get Better (from song I hated to song I love)
Starfinger: More Than Soup (what can I say that ain't been said?)
Carol Cleveland Sings: Run Faster (new but I can tell it's going to go the distance)
MC Frontalot: Gonna Be Your Man (the muppets backing just freakin' rocks)
Frontalittle Squad: Accelerator (hoblit's chorus just rocks)
Revel Yth: A Promise is A Promise (melt...)
The Sober Irishman: Tejas (I love the live feel of this)
I hope to put together more list of favorites, but I just thought I's share with these folks that someone really is digging their music.

that wouldn't happen to be a mix of your guitars with jutegyte on vocals would it?

Damn, Jute, they're onto us. We're both named Adam, hence the band name.
I can't speak for Jute, but I'd trade you some Children of God for a little more Leabit.

Puce. the more i listen to your shit, the more i'm amazed by your depth. i've spent many hours lately listening to Pawnbrokers Stepdaughter while remixing it and man, i cannot get over how good that song is. you are an amazing lyricist. the arrangements you use are always creative and very well put together. and your production is arguably the best here.
if i could pick one artist to sign to a major label on songfight, it would be you. i know i've told you all this shit before (in person even, and you laughed about it and took it all in stride as leaf and i fawned over you waiting for tacos), but man, the body of work you've already done at your age blows me away.

yea i gotta side with jack on this one... you really should be signed... just amazing stuff...

Gush time for Ants (Invisible). What is this, anyway? A companion piece to the SFO?
I think it's great, and hope it never stops. So far, the "when it snowed" piece was the best, but you know....rock and roll with yourself.

Jute Gyte fucking rocks. I can't get over how amazing 'Foam Rubber' is.
Roymond is very underrated, in my opinion. He's created some of the best stuff I've ever heard. 'Hey Ruth' is a favorite of mine.

And mine.
I don't believe he is underrated though. I think those in the know know. And I know those in the know who know know that it's enough to know.

This is a love letter to The Special Relatives
Dear Special Relatives,
I'm glad we dig each other. I think all your shit is fresh and legit, which is more than I can say about a lot of people. Thanks for doing something new. Let's be married a little bit.
Love,
Luke

I should get in the know a little more often, you know? Know, you, you, know?

Let me just say how much I like MC Hawkings' "What We Need More of is Science". Absolutely mind-boggling! Definitely check it out and listen carefully to the words from the second verse, to the end. Somehow, I'll be most of you already have checked it out. Absofuckingamazing. I especially love how dark the music is, and how the robot voice actually kinda sings in some places. Who is MC Hawking?
