Okay, all the random picks have been made, and only one gifter was going to gift himself... I put a stop to that and that was the only change to the random picks.
I sent out a bunch of PMs. Wow, now I have an idea of the amount of work Niv put into this every year. Thanks, Niv!
Everyone do let me know if you did not receive a PM, or if you got your own list or something crazy like that.
Hopefully everyone sees excitement in their lists and we have no dirty rotten stiffers this year!

I would really like to get in on this too if it's not too late.
I don't know how to put the links in here. If someone would let me know I'll be happy to do it.
Abba - Thank You For the Music
Black Sabbath - Neon Knights
Kiss - Do You Love Me
Sid and Marty Krofft - The Lidsville Theme Song

Hooray!!

I wish I had my recording stuff to get started

I just bought a house today, but we don't take possession until 15 Dec - so my guitars and stuff stay in a shipping container until then. Bugger. Good news is my new house comes with a recording studio. OK - the estate agent called it a "granny flat" - but my granny's dead....

Woo, I don't know any of the songs my target requested. This should be fun!

... whereas I have the opposite problem - I know and love them all and can't decide which one to do. I wonder if I have time to do all 4?

2. Dune Buggy - The President of the United States of America
3. Sprout and the Bean - Joanna Newsom
4. Tropicalia - Beck

So, hey, it would be nice if the aggregated people-and-their-choices post were merged in with (or at least linked from) the first post of the thread. It would make it much easier to find.

Well I was thinking you could have moved the content from the page 4 post to the first post and remove the one on page 4, but the link from the first post is fine too.

Yeah, I noticed that. Hence "the link is fine."

I'm also very happy with my list. There is something on everybody's list that I know I'd have fun doing; the one I got has four legitimate (and fun) possibilities. Can't ask for more than that!

My list is awesome. I'm only familiar with one of the songs and the other 3 are completely something I'd never think of listening to, but I totally dig them. This is the best part about the gift of music. It opens your ears and mind to new things. I can't wait to get started.

I knew one of the songs on the list I got, and the other three are cool too. There were no g'n'g songs, so this shall be challenging for me, but I've got some ideas for reinterpretations, and those ideas don't involve just g'n'g, for real! :D
