You sure don't think much of yourself, do you? You're even worse than me. XD

Thanks. I know, right? The worst part is, I can never use it again. It will now be forever lost in the Song Fight clever lyric abyss like so many others. Not many have seen the SFCLA, but many have died trying.

So, unpacking the metaphor: To me, colorblindness is about seeing the world a little differently from the way others see it, which is also a little differently from how it actually is. It's thinking you see reality, but then realizing along the way that you've been missing something important. Which is occasionally beneficial but usually detrimental.
Verse one's colorblind is literal - missing cues as blatant as light signals (and being unable to respond correctly even if prompted).
Verse two's colorblind is being unable to tell the good guys from the bad guys (thereby blundering into situations we don't understand).
Verse three's colorblind is not clearly seeing the person in front of you because your experiences have been colored by prior relationships. (Like not being able to commit because you're still pining for someone in the past.)
Do the lyrics make this clear? Feedback is appreciated.

Colorblind can also be used metaphorically, like for a person that is not the least bit racist or for objects like a window dressing that's not white, lol. Just like venetian blind is a person that refuses to believe that Venetians exist.
In my case, it's a sad depressed girl that sees the world dull and colorless because her sexual needs can't be met by anyone. So I fuck the color back in her life.
.....it's a gift, really.

I like it, Billy. Good job.
Fun facts about my song:
1. Another last-minute effort, but it turned out better than most.
2. I first tried to write a song about Charles Manson & the Family and their "Helter Skelter", because I was reading about it before.
3. I keep hearing "Monochromanatee" inside my head.
4. ???
5. Profit!

Listening to the songs via the link posted above.
Much better than round 0. Reviews to come today or tomorrow from me.

I'm listening through them right now too and I agree that they seem better than round 0. As should be.

Frankie! I fucking love your song this week. Why don't you rock more with awesome guitar riffs like this? This is gold. I mean, I know you can play, but you are usually just strumming off some boring rhythm just get you lyrics delivered. It's nice to see you using your other talents.

Ha! Manhattan, you use my exact bass line from my verses last week. See, I have a way of getting into peoples head. Then I start rearranging things and knocking down walls until your face looks permanently like this >>>

Haha. Thanks guys. I probably shouldn't tell you that this song had a solo section built into it that I axed because I realized I can't actually play the guitar!

1. I am going to eat lunch, and then it will be an afternoon of sonic mayhem - and reviewage all up in this place on this website.
2. I have decided to stop listening to my tune and groaning at the fact that there was nothing more to be done about the fact that I had to send the song in because it was 10:49 central time. Perhaps keep that in mind, but don't be kind. I had the same amount of time as everyone else, and I could have made different, less emo decisions. Goal by the end of this contest is to have bitch-slapped my vocals back into submission, finding a "style" or something.
3. Nobody understands the deep, dark blackness of my emo soul like, um... me... um.. this week....
4. Also think mine would have worked better as a poem, and I'm hushing up now.
5. I do plan to develop this more, I think. A couple people have told me it's totally salvageable.
6. I think that "battle my cage" and "rattle my cage" as a rhyme - going in unheard now; is much, MUCH cooler than 'piranha' to 'marijuana.' Mug of songwriting froth raised to YOU, sir.
7. The round zeros have been quite fun so far and I do have stuff to say. Sorry for the delay.

8. Why the hell was I able to come up with brilliant chorus after brilliant chorus this round? Perhaps I should do an album of 'Round One Chorus Clad Rejects' when it's all over.
NUR EIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!&%^$#(%*!!!!!!!!!!!! (yes. i'm difficult. eeep.)

Can we share this proper link more frequently...like in your signature. And stapled to my forehead? But write it backwards so when I look in the mirror I can read it, ok?
Also, are we eliminating only two of these competitors this week, since adam a dropped out on his/their own volition?
Also, I'd like to rave about some of these, but don't dare suggest who, although it should be obvious, though not necessarily in the order you'd suspect, but really, some great work here, well except for the crappy stuff, which sort of sucks, and shouldn't make it, really, to any advanced stage of a competition unless it's the usual race to the bottom that often passes as a songfight entry. Did I say I really like a bunch of these?
And also, it's almost like there's a Lamb Lies Down vibe going through many of these.
Also, the song I'm listening to right now is awesome! Congrats and all that, whoever you are...
