I don't often check what the most listened to songs are on my work jukebox. I did today and the results are a bit surprising:
1. "Heart In A Cage" by the Strokes
2. "Hold Yr Terror Close" by the Go Team
3. "King Without A Crown" by Matisyahu
4. "Ghost of You" by My Chemical Romance
5. 'Don't Think I Don't Miss You" by XTRG
6. "Meds" by Placebo
7. "Hello Taxi, Goodbye Sleep" by the 8mm Fuzz
8. "Lazy Sunday" by SNL
9. "Bitter Orange" by the Hell Yeahs
10. "The Feeding" by Hinterlander
11. 'Swarm" by Made Out of Babies
12. "Unretrofied" by Dillinger Escape Plan
13. "Touch the Sky" by Kanye West
14. "The Nocturnal House" by Pretty Girls Make Graves
15. "Adventure" by Be Your Own PET
What an odd and unexpected list, especially with all the Dresden Dolls, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Giant Drag, Nur Ein, Rolling Stones and She Wants Revenge that I've been listening to. I guess they all cancel each other out. Or it's just that some songs get played and I do my work and just let them play without registering.

Abominominous' Lucky Man. I really dig that tune... it's got great rockin piano and not a ounce of cheese to be found.

I got a Desert Fathers album in the post called the Spirituality which is great in a really noisy way. like mid-era Flaming Lips but more stripped down
and Lift to Experience - the Texas Jerusalem Crossroads is an album I've probably gone too long without hearing
individual tracks that I've really enjoyed today: Doves - Sulphur Man, Cex - Nevermind, Papa M - Last Caress, and Super Furry Animals new album Love Kraft was not grabbing me strangely (it is a first) but the song Cloudberries off that album is really great

I am!
But today it's been
Paul Simon's "Surprise". Crafty and beautiful, sort of 90s Peter Gabriel. So he's a few years behind...it's a great album. Bill Frisell and Eno contribute brilliantly. And Simon plays electric to new ends (for him, anyway)

Discordance Axis - Jouhou
Merzbow - Houjoue
Vader - De Profundis
I didn't realize how similar the first two album titles are until I wrote them down. That Discordance Axis fucking kills.

Been listening to alot of Nightwish lately. One of my friends on MSN pointing me in their direction. My favorite song so far is The Kinslayer. The first 30 seconds alone make it a masterpeice. Their kind of music is just awesome, especially when played loud.

I've really been digging on
All On the First Day by Tony, Caro and John. It's this great sort-of hippie-folk album, beautiful melodies, lovely stuff. It's pretty rare, PM me if you want a (digital) copy of it.
(Hell, I just realized I have some webspace through NYU, so have a
song.)
(Edited a million times trying to get the link to work.)
And thanks to Songfight, blue and Luke in particular, for the Minutemen tip.
And Akron/Family, a lot.
