I took it as an attempt at a fun survey of this guy's iPod, using the Jesus slant as a vehicle for presentation. Not sure any real editorial intent was being promoted. I didn't take it that way anyway, but I agree with the "why tie politics into this?" response. There have been many discussions of late concerning iPod playlists, etc. since most people have not had the opportunity to view their collections in a more-than-an-artist-or-genre-at-a-time manner. I think it's a cool result of the mega-gig jukebox, and also something we'll take for granted in two year's time.

if the repubs can call into question a man's Purple Heart commendation, we can call into question their playlists.

nothing is sacred in the Rove Era.

We can, but why do we want to?

I guess I just missed the point of that whole article. He's making up bizarre facts about Jesus' musical tastes, presenting them in present tense, and then backing them up with "He really does" and "Jesus has a wicked sense of humor." Eh.

I find it hard to believe that many people are mystified by this article. It's a half-assed humorous social statement, one that amuses for two or three paragraphs and then rambles on, that's all. Though I think it's funny that anyone would think, "Man, can't we just talk about Jesus's playlist? Why bring religion and politics into it?" Obviously that was the point of the article.

I'm thinking Jesus needs an IPOD like he needs.....uh....wine. Not trying to be sacreligious but couldn't He conger up anything He wanted? Why would He need a playlist? Jesus' playlist would be whatever He thought about and the IPOD would be like "Look at what they came up with now Dad. More plastic to kill our planet with".

Glad you're here to conger up a reality check. Man, here I was thinking Jesus had an iPod.

I'm pretty sure there's lots of Octothorpe on the big J.C.'s playlist, all the same.
