US charts go back to 1955, UK to 1952.

For me, it's:

US: Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye
UK: Lily The Pink - Scaffold

"You're No Good" Linda Ronstat

That site says you can get your "life theme" by using your 18th burfday. In my case it's Mariah and Boyz 2 Men "One Sweet Day" (NOOOO!!!!)

the scary thing is as a kid, i remember loving those 2 songs. "billy don't be a hero" was number one on american top 40 (with kasey casem of course!) for weeks. and i remember "the streak" came out when streaking was this big fad and people were running naked everywhere.

i feel old.

All these answers (and mine which are equally bad) just remind me how much I hate Billboard and Radio&Records.

Born before the advent of recorded music, but my life theme song falls somewhere between "American Woman" (the original version) and Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky."
