Here's a podcast called "Surprisingly Awesome", from the "Gimlet" network. They don't normally I think, but in this episode they're talking about music stuff. Check it out:

Jonathan Mann is working on a new musical narrative science fiction podcast called "Songonauts":

That qualifies for this thread, right...?

I haven't listened to it yet so I have no idea if it's good or not.

I've mentioned Song Exploder before:

I've subscribed to, but not listened to much, this podcast about Bob Heil and Rock and Roll:

I've been meaning to listen to this for ages. Too bad it seems to only be available on Soundcloud:

'No Guitar is Safe' is a really great podcast for guitar nerds. The host interviews players from his perspective as a working guitarist - and jams a little too.
The first episode was Joe Satriani, one of the early episodes was Guthrie Govan -- he is great - really worth a listen.

Seconded. I just listened to the Iggy Pop episode and it's got me eager to pick up "Post Pop Depression".

Thanks! I listened to their
interview with John Flansberg which I quite enjoyed. Also
The Future of What is the title of my favorite album from the Olympia band Unwound, which not coincidentally was released on Kill Rock Stars.

Anyone listen to Knobs podcast? It seems pretty awesome:

1/26/17 - I'm finally listening to en episode of this podcast with Jason Lyttle from Grandaddy. It is pretty good and covers what gear he actually uses to make noise. I'm not sure how helpful this would be to someone who wants to make recordings, but it is an interesting listen. Maybe a little long at an hour and episode.

Thanks for giving a damn is a damn good one for stories from musicians. Not so much for learning songwriting or production, though.

I wanted to call out this specific episode of All Songs Considered where they talk to Giles Martin about the new Sgt. Pepper's stereo mix. It is really interesting to hear the mono mix, old stereo mix, and new stereo mixes together. Highly recommended.
