A Thousand Swords

You had a calling stare and telling sable hair
I reached to you through amber hues
You were dancing on the lawn with the b-boys and the fauns
As I looked on and on and on

If all the things I thought of you were knew
They would be like swords run through
Then if vultures and embalmers came to you
I would fly to be there too

Convalesence from recycled aquiescence
Withdrawn confessions paid on dues
Each simple piercing lie drew forth a reddened smile
That I might have them for a while

If all the words I wrote of you were true
They would be like swords run through
Then if vultures and embalmers came to you
I would fly to be there too

fluffy porcupine / A Thousand Swords

A thousand swords hanging on my wall
If one of them should Happen to fall
While I am standing under it
I don't think it would hurt a bit

It would pierce right through my brain
Before I had a chance to feel pain
So I don't think I'd ever call
For a thousand swords hanging on my wall

---

I do not think it's right for me
That many swords I cannot see
They cost a lot and are not good
For anything like chopping wood

They have no practicality
They only can be hung decoratively
But one of them should cause to fall
A thousand swords falling from my wall

---

If someone enters in my house
And sneaks quietly like a mouse
A sword would come to me too late
Their gun would help them more in fate

A thousand swords hanging on my wall
Would help me only not at all
Except in ways I cannot see
And cut my leg off at the knee

---

I do not think I want to try
Using them to cut my pie
The blades are dirty with the blood
Of noblemen and sheep and mud

A thousand swords hanging on my wall
If one of them should happen to fall
I do not want to try to see
What would then happen to me
