The Return - big M - for SongFight
They say there was a man from a small Texas town
And when he picked up a geetar all the people would gather 'round
"Rock us with your tunes tonight!" the crowd proclaimed
"Rock us 'til the early mornin' light!" the crowd exclaimed
So he mustered up all his musical juice
The people clapped and stamped their shoes
And they rocked all night long
As the music man sang his song
Well 20 years long years have passed in that small Texas Town
The townsfolk haven't grooved since the music man left town
The children laugh, tell jokes and play but the children haven't rocked
The old folks lost the fire they once had and just stare at the clocks
Then one day, a man slinked in all dressed in black
He had on boots and a large odd case slung across his back
The people watched and memories churned as the strange man
Reached into his case and took his guitar in his hands
"Rock us with your tunes tonight!" the crowd proclaimed
"Rock us 'til the early mornin' light!" the crowd exclaimed
So once again he strummed his tunes
The people clapped and stamped their shoes
And they rocked all night long
As the music man sang his song
And they rocked all night long
As the music man sang his song
They say there was a man from a small Texas town
And when he picked up a geetar all the people would gather 'round
