How about some safety PSA songs like "Turn Off Your Oven?"

Cool beans - I feel like this title would be a good spawn for a super Songfight anthem. ..
(Partly inspired by The_Grim's comment for JRS2 in Turn Off Your Phone reviews, celebrating the inclusion of the word "Songfight" in the song.)
Intended to be a fun/slightly cheesy rock song, with chanting and shredding and many joys.
Ch: ('Turn off your TV chanted?)
Turn off your TV, let's have a Songfight!
Yeah Turn off your TV, It's gonna get hot tonight!
Let's start a riot, let's start a war
Let's show what all of this brain soup is for!
Turn off your phone, put down your pen
Turn off your TV, get your jam on instead
Bridge? Rap??
Don't you go keep it inside anymore
Bring your song into daylight and let it explore
The necess'ry noises not pictured before
What, you think that track's gonna bust its own door?
Pick up your guitar, give it your best
2 folks will like it - forget the rest

Anyone else down for an all-in collab?? Ha just an idea. I'm on the road a bunch this week too, but getting my first iPhone tomorrow so what of it! 1500km drive by Friday and a tiny gig and volunteering at a rodeo won't take away from the fun of a new toy and shared ideas!!

Also, there's this.
Italian police were called to a residence because two elderly people were crying with loneliness and despair for all the terrible news of the world, and all they had for company was their TV.
We can't switch it off on them!! http://www.theage.com.au/world/italian- ... qo9pn.html
Although they wouldn't know so much of the world's pain without it. And might have to have a conversation. But after 70 years I guess they'd run out of things to say.
Interesting statistics that nearly half of elderly people feel really lonely, but less than 20% live alone.
Damn you, world, and your constant giving of song ideas. I love you. Go away. It's Census night. I'll see you soon Call you later. You too. No, I do. OK bye

Loneliness doesn't necessarily mean alone, right? If you had the kids and thy moved away and had kept the grandchildren so far you only see them once or twice a year at most... well, I'd feel lonely, too... if I had feelings. Luckily, Gepetto only carves wood.
Oh, yeah. I'm in. I'd apologize in advance, but.... see above.

it's been over a year but I'm in for this one.
I really need to do this more and not just FAWM and the occasional 50/90

Awesome! Look forward to hearing your entry!
As punishment for my late submission last time I meant to submit mine really early but will probably just be tomorrow... which is going to be within a day of the deadline. Am on the road for some of it though too.

Has finally acquired iPhone.
Hasn't activated GarageBand yet because likes to read all T&Cs first (it's an honesty thing).
Therefore: I'm in, but with a single-tracked live thing sitting in my car at 2:30am in a caravan park in NT.
At least this phone has a better mic than the Samsung I've mostly used.
Henrietta's lyrics are really cool in the Lyric Marte :-/

Sweet! This fight is sounding exciting. I see the emails from all the folks who've said in this thread that they're in, also, so that's a relief.
