Very fun and entertaining, in spite of a lot of superfluous and hokey stuff. I guess that's pretty much any good Star Wars movie.

I just saw it today. One of the better ones, I thought. Definitely a few scenes that made me roll my eyes a little but the action is great, and I really like the characters in this new trilogy so I'm generally happy to spend more time with them. I've never been a major Star Wars fan but I had a blast with this one.

This is a good Star Wars movie if you don't think about it too much. Just enjoy the Star Wars!

Saw it at an Alamo, so the periodic arrival of pints of beer made it even better. Luke is such a great character. But the reincarnation scene was pretty unforgivable.

This movie did not hold up for me when I started thinking about it. Then I revisited it on Netflix. Man. The whole thing kind of amounts to nothing. I really disliked the way it went out of its way to negate so much of the previous movie. Not that I loved the things they were negating but just tossing them in the rubbish bin gave me some whiplash.

Finally saw it on Netflix a few days ago and I'm pretty much in the same boat as Lunkhead on this one. I mean it's not like Star Wars was ever cinema verite or anything but so much stuff just felt like it was extraneous and overblown, and trying to hit the story beats of the original trilogy BUT A TWIST.

Which is pretty much what I hated about Star Trek: Into Darkness, as well. J. J. Abrams certainly has a tendency.
