Anybody checking out anything new today?

I just listened to the new album by Solange. It was alright, pretty mellow. Very Stevie Wonder-y sounding in the palette of synth sounds used.

Weezer has "The Black Album" out, I'm trying to listen but ... ugh. I just don't need to listen to them be a generic top 40 pop rock band. Blergh.

Hozier - Wasteland, Baby! I'm not a fan or anything, but I heard a lot about his new song Nina Cried Power and really liked it. Curious if the rest of the album is good too.

I wanted to check out Sun Kil Moon. I'll probably try that next. Right now I'm listening to "Ulfilas' Alphabet" by Sundara Karma. Never heard of them before but I'm enjoying this first track.

Wasn't too impressed with either Hosier or Shy Girls. Listening to Kehlani - While We Wait. Very groovy.

Did you actually listen to the Sun Kil Moon album? I'm not sure I'm even going to make it through this first track, with it's 12+ minutes of stream of consciousness recounting of events. It's kinda putting me to sleep...

Yes, those tracks are seriously long. I don't remember how much of it I listened to. It is fairly intimidating.
