SpinTunes #16 Schedule
As always, the schedule is flexible. Acts of God and other unavoidable stuff happens. You can keep up with scheduled events on our Google Calendar. If you want these events to show on your own Google calendar, the Calendar ID is the same as our new email address: spintunescontest@gmail.com

There is one change to the method of scheduling. I will post the next round challenge BEFORE the judges rankings and reviews are posted. This is to give people a few extra weekend hours to start working on songs for the next round. (Of course, if you don't make it to the next round, and you've put in the work already, you might as well submit it as a shadow.)

• January 11th (Saturday)
  Sign ups start. On this date you'll find a link on this blog to sign up.
  
  January 24th (Friday)
  11:59pm - Sign ups end.
  
  January 25th (Saturday)
  12:01am - First challenge is announced.
  
  February 2nd (Sunday)
  11:59pm - First song deadline.
  
  February 3rd (Monday)
  9pm - Listening party will be held HERE, and hosted by Tom.
  Immediately afterward, the songs will be made available for free download on BandCamp at our new location, https://spintunes.bandcamp.com.

During this gap:
- judges will rank the songs
- judges will review the songs*

• February 8th (Saturday)
  Early - Second challenge is announced.
  4pm - Judges reviews are due.
  8pm - Reviews & scores are posted.
  
  February 16th (Sunday)
  11:59pm - Second song deadline.
  
  February 17th (Monday)
  9pm - Listening party will be held HERE, and hosted by Tom.
  Immediately afterward, the songs will be made available for free download on BandCamp at our new location, https://spintunes.bandcamp.com.

During this gap:
- previously eliminated competitors will rank the songs
- judges will rank the songs
- judges will review the songs*

• March 21st (Saturday)
  NOON - Judges reviews are due.
  NOON - Eliminated competitors rankings are due.
  4pm - Reviews are posted and a winner is announced!

SpinTunes 16 is looking for judges, and you should be one! Help choose the next superstar band!

Dave isn't on the SFBB, so he asked me to see if any SongFighters are interested. Jerkatorium is planning on competing this year instead of judging, so SpinTunes is a couple of judges short. If you have any interest at all, please send me a private message with your email address and I will forward your contact info to Dave. There are no prerequisites except for the ability to turn in your rankings within the timeframe listed in the schedule.

And just to be perfectly clear: I am not going to help choose judges, I am just the intermediary who will bounce your contact info over to Dave.

So do it! Be a judge! Wield that power! You'll be Thanos, snapping your fingers every round!

Sign-ups for SpinTunes #16 are now OPEN.
Sign ups end January 24th @ 11:59PM.

Basically, the form is at the link. You can put in your band info and a graphic/photo so they can make up a profile page and link for everyone involved.
You can still send in songs without doing the profiles, but it'll be a shadow entry, and won't be ranked and might not be reviewed by the judges. And what fun is that? Wouldn't you rather have some notoriety like this page?

pretty sure I signed up to give this another try. if I submitted the form correctly.

Right now we've got 29 people signed up (quite a few of them are SongFighters), and room for more.
The first challenge goes up at midnight tonight.

As Jerkatorium mentioned, we've got room for some judges, too. I'm on here now, so give me a holler if you'd like to pontificate. With Jerkatorium competing, the coveted Simon Cowell seat is open.
