After an absence of several fights (even though I loved that last title) I've written a song for my wife. I guess I have to record it now.

I'm inspired. I have a chorus. So maybe.

I also have a Circle of Titles song to finish and two podcast episodes to edit, but we'll see.

It'd be nice to get back in the fight after Nur Ein... My role as keyboardist for Philthadelphia Cthollins notwithstanding.

I'm planning to get into some Good Trouble this weekend.

I've got half a song recorded, a melody written out, but no words to it...sigh

All right, I've got my demo mix, so it's very likely I'll be in this fight. My "something that's older than Song Fight" is, broadly speaking, institutionalized racism in America. But if that's too vague, then my lyrics also specifically reference Redlining, which is a racist banking practice that is also much older than Song Fight.

Now to spend the next two days redoing vocals and mixing. *cracking knuckles*

Me and my 8-year-old buddy Matthew are in — Blonde and Bald — with a solid track about a dog named Trouble. Don't worry, Matthew is on vocals so the singing is actually good.

I'm from CT and my brother still lives in the house we grew up in there in West Hartford. He said the state seems to be a big mess from what he can see. There were four big trees down just within a block of our house. He works out in Western CT and said all along his commute there are trees and big branches down. Most gas stations don't have gas, apparently? And there are still folks without power all over the state? Sounds crappy!

The Stink is in with some trouble. Good or bad TBD.

I'm in and I'm trying my hand at synthwave (it seemed apt for the challenge), probably failed miserably but we shall see.

I'd been trying to avoid writing a song about COVID-19, but I finally broke down this time. I also tried to write a Book of Love song; we'll see what the reviewers think of that idea.

Have something written, will see if I can do a marathon record and mix day tomorrow.

In! Folks wanted more sax last time, but I suspect you may want less sax next time.

This week I tried to channel Sonic Youth and it came out a bit more like Versus. But that's fine. I like Versus.

Whew, just barely beat the deadline. Mine is submitted.

Deadline? There's a deadline? Well, I sent something in anyway.

I think something is amiss with the Fightmaster inbox. I don't see emails from Generic or Pigfarmer Jr and I'm getting some error connecting, both in Mail.app and in webmail. I'll see if we can get that sorted out.
