Please note!! This is the title for the Song Fight Live 2020 live fight!

Instructions for participating in the live fight:
Due: Saturday, 9/26/20 9:59am PDT
Format: any video format is acceptable

This year's live fight will be streamed on the Song Fight YouTube channel Sunday night, 27 September. Your live fight entry must be a video. Make your video entry as much of a “live performance” as you can, while still being interesting.

Please do not submit late!

It takes some work to construct the live stream, so if you’re late we cannot guarantee we’ll have enough time to get your entry into the schedule.

If you want to make a video but can't or don't get it done in time for the live fight, we may set up a page with links to videos that were not part of the live fight. TBD though.

Is this going to be the title for the regular fight as well, or video live fight only? I hate to disappoint my legion of fans, I know, I know, settle down, but I will not be doing a video. Asking because I have today only to do a song. Thanks!

Live fight uploading in progress!

Live video incoming, full of one-take goodness (oxymoron?) Slightly different backing for a bit of variety. If I'm going to submit it for the "dead" fight as well then I'll add some more stuff, maybe play around with it a bit. And yes, 2016 wasn't the best.

I uploaded successfully earlier today. Guess that means I'm in.

Now, to submit the audio or re-record??? I'm lazy, so....

I'm in for the live fight, I even tried to play an "instrument".

I stayed up waaaaay too late trying to get a good take (it’s currently 3:30 am in Wisconsin) but I’m in with a depressing folky droney pretty little number. I think this may be the first song I’ve ever written in an alternate tuning?

In for the live fight! Now faced with the same "do I fix anything for the non-live fight?" dilemma as PiJu...

I sent in a live-ish song. Not on video, but I pretended that there was a five way split screen on. Pretended. Yeah.

I'm in for the Live Fight and the regular fight. See you tonight and tomorrow.

I uploaded the video Thursday night, so you should have it.

Done and in with the video and stuff. May rerecord my vocals tomorrow for the regular fight. My camera stopped recording during my best vocal take like a right jerk. Everything I did after that was not nearly as good.

In the "dead" fight with the audio from the live fight entry. I told you I was lazy, did you expect anything else?

Brown Word is in. Definitely not live. Judging by the amount of entries in the lyrics page this is going to be a good, big fight!

I spilled a whole shaker of salt the other day and figured I'm cursed for eternity, then I checked songfight.org today and saw the deadline for entries is Thursday, not Tuesday like I'd thought, and I guess spilling that much salt wraps around to being lucky. Like Pigfarmer Jr, I have just spiced up the audio from the live fight video with some effects.

I may well be in, just need to redo the opening line if i can be bothered.

EDIT: In. No video as I need to do some capture. But I will do it shortly (in relative terms).

Hey all,
I’m sending a live song written for song fight a few months ago...
I did not submit the song. I do that a lot...write, don’t submit but play live.
I did write a song for this ‘next year’ fight but, again, did not submit.
My enjoyment is the writing. I’m not too good at the follow up.

I was in for the live fight and promoted it on my livejournal in a poor attempt at friend flooding. Now I'm in with a proper "studio" recording for the dead fight and will be promoting it on my deadjournal, maybe I will have better luck this time.

Wow, just noticed my song was written for a fight over four years ago !!
Oh well, seems like yesterday to me...
