Agony Sauce is: Glenn Case and Michael “Mo” Ouyang

We made a Myspace page in September of 2005 and never did anything with it.

Now we finally have an album. We hope you will enjoy it!

Cool! I'll add this and your album to the homepage when I get a chance. What's the story behind the two non-Nur Ein songs?

I look forward to seeing how these differ from the NE originals. A couple of those I liked a lot.

Thank you kindly!

I think we have a total of 3 songs on here that were not Nur Ein songs.

We dropped "You Too" from the album to avoid potential legal ramifications from all of the songs we blatantly stole from as instructed in that round of Nur Ein. We also severely re-worked the verses of "Pump the Brakes".

The new songs are:

The Cosmos Lounge
Zero Patience
Not All Memories Are Bad

The short answer: We just wanted more songs to fill out the album.

The Cosmos Lounge is a spiritual sequel to a Duboce Triangle song that I love, and Duboce Triangle hates - "Down to the Atom". The lyrics of that song reference a place called the Cosmos Lounge. The lyrics of that song referred to the Cosmos as the "dirtiest place there is." I decided to expand upon what the Cosmos might be like, and mercifully - Mo allowed it.

Not All Memories Are Bad - Mo sent me most of the music, and that title was meant to be a placeholder, and nothing more. I liked the title, and decided to roll with it.

Zero Patience - I was just REALLY irritated that day. It came out via the song. My initial takes were intentionally distorted to the point of being unlistenable. It was Mo's idea to let the song deteriorate over time, and you hear the initial takes as the song progresses.

Thanks! We definitely changed some of the voice samples to avoid potential legal repercussions. We were able to keep the vocal sample on "No Memory" because that's Mo singing.

Ah cool, 3 new songs! Nice. I haven't had a chance to listen to them all yet, I really like "The Cosmos Lounge" though. Both your recent albums are in the homepage song news now.

Thank you so much for doing that!

"The Cosmos Lounge" is one of my favorites from the Agony Sauce album for sure. We are planning a second album that might go more in that direction.
