I thought about doing jangle pop with ironically dark lyrics but then I remembered I bought a distortion pedal.

There's no mandolin emoji unfortunately. Banjo did require 116 takes 💀

Brown Word is in. I used my dynamics this time. I think. Does the song lead somewhere? I don't know. The void is certainly involved.

I recorded 5 layered vocal tracks, then FL studio froze and I lost it all. I wanted to scream into the void.

I decided to sing into the mic rather than scream into the void but I'm in for this

I thought the title sounded like "The Same Deep Water As You", which I now appreciate even more.

"The Same Deep Water As You"
Now that is a class tune, as are quite a few I Am Kloot numbers

Edit - just realised my error...
I read that as “The Same Deep Water As Me” which is a song by I Am Kloot but I realise now (although I'm not familiar with it) there’s also a song by The Cure called “The Same Deep Water As You

A reminder to pop my copy of Wish into my car's tape deck. A very underrated Cure album, probably my 3rd favorite.

(The fact my own entry is blatantly influenced by The Figurehead probably answers the question of which one is my favorite)

I'm in with what strikes me as a mediocre song. I was trying to work on vocal melody, but I don't see much improvement so far. I did, however, fulfill the Spalted Rhyme Challenge.

I’m in a similar predicament and got called in for extra hours. I didn’t have time to finish the mix this morning but I’m hoping the songfight gods will accept my late entry I will be submitting later tonight.

I didn't get called in for extra hours but I did finally have an idea at 11 o' clock last night when my wife was sleeping, so vocals had to wait until after work today. Fingers crossed that it gets accepted even if it is quite a few hours late.

Submitted. I'm in with an extremely late entry and an extremely similar track to my previous high and higher entry.
