It's been awhile, but I'm in for this one. Feels good to get back into the swing of things.

Great title!! 9th November is Heddy Lamars birthday and hence International Inventors Day! Every day should be 9/11! I hope I get time to write a song.

WOO to the HOO!!!

Despite an initial balk at this title, it seems I have almost finished an entry.

And true to form, I have completely ignored the optional challenge.

We just finished up the vocals tonight, and my brother is going to handle the mix tomorrow.

This song turned out to be a lot of fun to record. My brother was right in his comment above, our song is literally punk cheese. It's goofy and political, with a dark twist. Shout out to my fiancee for providing the idea for the ending of the song.

I sent a song in. I, also, ignored the optional challenge. Although it would be firmly in my wheel house if I were still in my twenties.

I think I'm done.

I've bounced it down to an MP3P0, and will leave it overnight and check tomorrow to make sure I'm happy enough.

Edit: I have submitted. It's not perfect, but it's what we've got.

Well I'm in. Admittedly phoning this in a bit - I didn't want to not do a song, so I pushed and had fun getting it together but just couldn't nail the vox. Then some weird distortion in parts, some clash between frequencies I'm just living with. I wanted to say so many things in the lyrics but ended up being very terse. After today though I think you might know exactly what I mean.

IRC USM is in with another bombtrack.

NIght Sky will be in with some Star Trek references and a new verse we added tonight to reflect the events of the last couple of days. If it's a little late, that's to give Steve the last word on the drums. This one was rough, folks. We kind of did battle with the optional challenge rather than blowing it off, but given our last entry, we didn't want to go with another Night Sky's Wild Years (thanks for that perfect characterization, Jefff).

I wrote the song last weekend. The main vox and guitar recorded together on the second take. Then I sat on it, not sure what I thought about it. Then the crap happened yesterday. To get away from the news for a while I went downstairs and listened to it again and then filled it out pretty quickly, warts and all, it was good therapy. Not really talking blues, but folky, I guess.

I got a song in. It's my least favorite I've done so far, but I did all the arranging and layering and stuff myself, so I guess that feels good. SunLite normally does all that for me. He still mixed and mastered and cleaned up a few bits.
