With these Radiohead songs, whether they actually "form a bridge" is very subjective. For example, when I hear 15 Step it doesn't really sound like it definitely belongs in between Airbag and Paranoid Android. I'm not a judge, and maybe I'm just ignorant but I can't see how 15 Step would pass that challenge, or any other song of these. Unless the challenge is met automatically as long as the band themselves say it is a bridge track...

Well I followed the link to the Radiohead article and listened to the 2 songs described as a bridge in the playlist, bookended by the songs they are supposed to bridge and I guess I don't really get it. Maybe one has to have been a fan of these albums to grasp whatever higher concept is supposed to make these two songs bridge the first and second half of the playlist. Maybe I have to listen to the whole play list to get it (I know Radiohead is supposed to be part of a balanced diet but not really my jam - is that what I'm missing? Am I musically deficient?). Not that I don't have a strategy for this challenge... It's Nur Ein. I was prepared.

It'll take more than a Nur Ein challenge to get me to listen to Radiohead.
But it pleases me that WHAT MAY HAVE SEEMED like a somewhat arbitrary part of my R1 song was was actually a callback to the R2 song I hadn't written yet.

I am a fan, at least of OK Computer era Radiohead (most of their post-2003 or so material is hard for me to get into, though I do like the highly experimental Kid A and Amnesiac albums) and I don't get it either. Sure, some of them sound good in sequence. But you could just as well, like, for a more universal example, put Strawberry Fields Forever into any spot on the Sgt. Pepper's album and it wouldn't sound out of place, that still doesn't make Strawberry Fields Forever a bridge track between Fixing a Hole and Mr. Kite, or whatever.

I must admit that this challenge initially confused me rather more than other challenges as it's slightly ambiguous how you could define a bridge track. However, I will attempt in good faith to make as creative an approach to this one as I can. What's the cleverest way I can interpret this...

Reminds me of the Fear trilogy
We got Part 3- Witch Hunt on Moving Pictures
Part 2 - the Weapon- on Signals
And Part 1- The Enemy Within on Grace Under Pressure
Then the 3 were finally played in order on the P/G tour.

I only posted the Radiohead Binary thing jokingly as that's more theory than fact. It's the Dark Side of the Moon/ Wizard of Oz mix of Radiohead lore.

For real!! Haha when I saw the title I was like "sweet, gonna do a bangin punky song, time to show the versatility"
Ooooop actually it's time to show the flexibility it seems... hmmmmmmmmm... or time to weasel my way to convince you that a bangin punky track bridges between two quiet contemplative ones. maaaybe?

When I think of distinct songs blending together, I am fondly reminded of my youth and this song between songs:
In fact, that whole album. Apologies in advance, j$.

That's not how I read the challenge but happy to be persuaded by the final song.

Well, you see, I wasn't posting about the challenge but rather apologizing in advance for this 90s pastiche I'm making.

Well, you see, I wasn't posting about the challenge either but rather your forthcoming song. Can't wait to review it poorly

Any word on getting Memorial Day to finish this one?
I had a late start and have family here Friday through apparently Monday morning so chances of me getting a song in otherwise are slim.

Personally I'd prefer to stick to the original schedule. The title and challenge were released on time so we weren't held back starting our songs. Also a delay would mess up my recording routine and my song is already finished so an extension wouldn't benefit me at all.
