That's a wrap on 2021, more or less. What are you hoping and wishing for in 2022, personally or otherwise?

I hope I can sleep better next year. I'd like to get some regular exercise. I'm hoping to try some outdoor winter activities like snowshoeing and/or cross country skiing. It'd be fun to make more music. I haven't been reading much in a while, so it'd be nice to read at least one book a month. I may finally buy a nice semi-hollowbody guitar or a nice acoustic. Oh yeah, it would be great if I had my permanent replacement tooth by the end of the year of course.

I hope you get that tooth.

I've been reading more, finding solace and escape in fiction mostly. I would also like to be more active in the new year. I also want to learn something. Maybe take some guitar lessons or something.

I'm hoping that my new job is fun and comfortable, and that I can get back into making comics, and that I can spend even more time on music. And I guess better sleep is also a good goal.

I guess more than anything else I'd like to be enjoying my time on this planet.

I’m trying to go back to school but the damn admissions office seems to be hard to get a hold of. I’m kind of torn.
Need to finish the degree but I like my hobbies. Guess we’ll see what the new year brings.

Going big, but I'm hoping to complete my piano technician study course and pass the PTG certification exam. With the age of the young'uns I may have trouble getting it done. But I'll at least try?

A huge +1 on that.

I've already said my goal for 2022 was to get back into the songwriting game. Already have 4 songs done in December so got a nice head start on that.

Anyway, New Year New Me.

Lose Covid kilos. Then lose the handful of pre-Covid kilos. I know people say that weight loss is made in the kitchen, but I already have a good diet and cutting stuff out momentarily won’t help in the long run. I figure I got here because I stopped exercising and moving as much, and so doing the opposite should get me back out. I got an Apple Watch for Christmas, and as a result I'm pretty sure I’ve moved more in this past week than I have in two years, so that’s a good start.

Our house is still tiny and small, which is part of the reason I stopped exercising in the first place. Hopefully this is the year that we get to buy a our own house and never ever rent again. That depends on jobs and whatnot, so in the meantime I’m still moving a coffee table and a tool box every time I want to exercise.

Long term goal is to write and illustrate a graphic novel. Short term goal to help get there is to make some zines.

The big one this year will be applying for Irish citizenship. Toshiro is eligible in March, I’m eligible in May. It will be frustrating and stressful and we’ll apparently have to wait several years for the paperwork to be processed, but this year we get it started.

Sure love waking up on New Year’s Day with some ughtastic illness. Feels like strep or maybe a sinus infection.

For the first four of my Christmas Days in Ireland I woken up with the flu. This year I didn’t and it felt like such a victory.

yeah I get these sorts of things all the time. It's just the timing that's annoying.

Hope everybody is well. Good luck this year and be safe. I had a mountain of forced overtime last year, hope not as much this year. I also hope to enter every SF! fight in 2022 to have some non-work focus going on. If I can get to 300 Paco entries, I may retire the name, as an entrant, anyway. Meat and potatoes goal.

It warms my cockles to see all my favorite musical humans still doing what they love. I've never met you guys/gals, but oddly I think of you often. Here's to a great 2022! click

I came here today because I woke up this morning with the riff from the Spin the Bottle fight in my head. I did that one with Quimby. I was still asleep and that silly little guitar riff was stuck on repeat in my brain spaghetti. I finally opened my eyes and got out of bed because my bladder had other plans. I grabbed my coffee and popped on the Mighty Song Fight and had a listen. It brightened my morning up almost instantly! Then I heard my line "she's rubbing a hole through my gaberdines" and about spit out my coffee. Who calls pants gaberdines? Seriously.

I miss you guys.

PS 2. I thought of Fluffy every day when Amy Schneider had her run on Jeopardy. Because Fluffy is the smartest person I've ever not met. hug

SF Live 2022 hasn't happened yet, online or IRL. If anything happens with that news will be posted on the boards well in advance.
