Really Big Files

I'm trying to email a fairly enormous file, all in one piece. Unzipped, it's 15.5MB, and it's still 15.3MB when zipped.

Anyone know of an email that can handle really big files? Fastmail can't, it turns out. Or does anyone know of a really good zipper?

Not off the top of my head, no. GMail caps at 10MB, and of the "free" services I think they're the biggest.

Your best bet's to use FTP to some webspace for the recipient to download it from, if'n you don't have your own hosting/website account (which has whatever cap you want it to). Dunno what the PC equivalent is, but if you're on a Mac, signing up for a trial iDisk account will give you (I think) 25 MB of ftp space to play with, gratis.

zip doesn't do much with binary files; try rar: http://www.rarlab.com/.
that should get you better compression.

Yeah, but that sends it by email, which can easily screw somebody up by having a 60 MB (up to 1 GB!) file in their inbox. Dropload looks like a basic FTP service with email notification.
