It was at Tingley Coliseum 'bout Ninety-Five or Ninety-Six
I went to see Willie Nelson with my mother and my sis
The room was full of dirt oh boy don't you know
And if you wanted to see Willie well first came the rodeo

A bunch of barrels and horses run around
Timed it with a clock and the fastest was found
Then a bull came out with a guy on its back
He got tossed into the ground he landed face down flat

I didn't have nothing against it
It was new to me
I guess I wasn't enchanted
But was I supposed to be

Roped some baby cows right around the neck
Let out a big yee-haw just like the Wild West
I didn't understand it all but it sure moved fast
While that was my first rodeo it just might be my last
