What To Do And How To Do It
Pigfarmer Jr
I don't wanna be that kind of guy
Living on the edge of love
And I don't need to step aside
To fall for everything you're always telling me
What to do and how to do it
What to say and how to say it
What to fix, how to improve it
What to feel, how to display it
I'm tired of you always telling me...
I don't wanna feel the way I feel
Stepping right over the edge
Like fall off a blade of steel
I can't trust all the things you're telling me
What to do and how to do it
What to say and how to say it
What to fix, how to improve it
What to feel, how to display it
I'm tired of you always telling me...
It's long past time I realized
I'm feeling like I have to live a lie
It's time I found my truth
And stopped making an excuse
For the crimes you always deny
What to do and how to do it
What to say and how to say it
What to fix, how to improve it
What to feel, how to display it
I'm tired of you always telling me...

You’ve got this
Don’t let anyone tell you different
You can't quit
Not when you're so close to the bitter end
You’ve got what it takes
Don’t doubt yourself for a minute
You know you're on track
When they say you can’t do it that way
Take my hand and you’ll be okay
Take my hand and I’ll lead the way
What to do and how to do it
I’ll show you the way
What to do and how to do it
I’ll show you the way
You’re on it
Don’t give in to their limits
You’re on fire
Don’t doubt yourself for a minute
Take my hand and you’ll be okay
Take my hand and I’ll lead the way
What to do and how to do it
I’ll show you the way
What to do and how to do it
I’ll show you the way
Be strong and brave
Be kind and wise
Sit still and pray
For your voice to rise
Take my hand and you’ll be okay
Take my hand and I’ll lead the way
What to do and how to do it

What to Do and How to Do It - Frankie Big Face
There’s a speaker on the wall
That tells me what to do
And how to do it
And when I finish
It tells me where to go
And where to put it
A light shines in my eyes
The element of surprise
Is all around us
There’s a curfew in our hall
They tell me when to sleep
And when to get up
And when I rise
They tell me what to cook
And how to eat it
Alarms ring in my ears
I may have accidentally
Cracked a smile
There’s a speaker on the wall
That tells you what to do
And how to do it
And when you finish
It tells you where to go
And where to put it
A light shines in my mind
The element of surprise
Is all around me
There’s a speaker on the wall

Dm A7
Stick your little pinky past the point of no return inside a bottle of your grandma’s favorite rum
Dm
Smash the neck so softly that you don’t disturb the slumber of the spaniel and its quiv’ring little gums
Gm
Mop it up with terricloth, wring it out and strain the broth, tip-toe to the tasty side of town
Dm
Put a dime inside a payphone, fill the mouthpiece full of sprayfoam
A7 Dm
being careful not to get it on your gown
Dial up a couple buds, rustle up some supple spuds, and set their sprouting eyes upon the sill
Start em in the microwave, light the broil, have a shave, and let ‘em finish of their own free will
Slip inside your daydreams while your friends eat all your ice cream, discuss your favourite patterns on the rug
Then everyone falls silent till the dog bursts in and violently
demands that she be fed and held and hugged
Enlist a couple neighbours who are in your debt for favors from that time you kept the storm drains flowing free
All you really did was sit there like a little kid in rubber boots, and kick the autumn’s wet debris
Direct them in a puppet show, one whose plot they mostly know, make ‘em learn their lines by friday night
Then build a cardboard theatre from the box that held your heater
Charge admission and sell cookies by the bite
