I am hosting the event in Seattle this year, the weekend of August 7-10, which are a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Preliminary Schedule cribbed from 2024, may be adjusted depending on how many are attending :

Thursday, August 7:
5:00pm Art opening at the gallery I run.
6:00pm Pre-function at the Stargate (my house)

Friday, August 8:
10:00pm-4:00pm Practices at my house and fluffy's
5:00pm-10:00pm Performances at Jellyfish

Saturday, August 9:
10:00pm-4:00pm Practices at my house and fluffy's
5:00pm-9:00pm Performances at Jellyfish
9:00pm-10:00pm LIVE FIGHT

Sunday, August 10:
6:00pm Jaydogs performance at Jellyfish (not an official SongFight! Live event)

The venue is Jellyfish Brewing, in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood: https://jellyfishbrewing.com/
We will be playing in the beer garden. These will be public events.

While I never expected to travel to the USA again, you know, because of recent events - a spud hosted SFl in Seattle could be a thing. I go via Vancouver?

That would be most excellent, Caravan Ray. I hope it comes to pass. We will see what we can do about the mess in the meanwhile...

Well I guess I have no choice but to attend.

My home recording studio (which is around 12 minutes from the venue by car) will be available as a practice space for those who need it. I'd also be able to accommodate one or two people with lodging on my couch if they need it although that's more of a desperation thing.

Saturday and Sunday will be better for me.

Nice! Talk about grabbing the proverbial bull by the horns here! You're always the consummate host. Too bad the Octogarage is gone for rehearsals!

I will also set up a practice space at my house. 20x20 living room. Near the venue (7 mins by car).

Met with the venue owner yesterday. They will be installing a cover over the currently open-air stage this spring, so we don’t need to worry (too much) about the weather.

Also offered us space to store sound system, etc., overnight.

Sounds like a blast~! I believe that I'll be heading back to Thailand this year the week after... so I won't be able to make it, but someday I'd love to get out there.

Ken and I drove up years ago to play a show with # and friends at the Jewelbox Theater in Seattle! Bloody Hams!

That was a really fun trip!

This is an 'almost committal' but at this time, I'm thinking I'd make it and would want to play on the 9th, specifically if that'd be okay. I'll update in a few days after a little more thought and discussion.

Any combination of dates work great for me, I'll attend no matter what.

Well, almost no matter what. I'm out if I f@#%king get COVID again that week, but short of that I'm definitely in.

Seattle is excellent, those dates are excellent.
I'm in, Frisbee is in, Melvin is in, Ken is in. Probably no Furry Pedro, but alas perhaps we will have the 1st WSA live performance.
It will be amazing to actually meet my band mates.

Whoa, it would be super cool to meet Frisbee and Melvin and to see a WSA set! (And cool to see Pete again but he's living in Japan? so probably a long shot?) I hope they can make it.

You’re supposed to get COVID *after* the show, like the rest of us. Otherwise it’s just poor planning.

It's still four months out, can't you cancel those gigs? But seriously, too bad, maybe next year. (Want to host?!)

Did we ever figure out if we are doing Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun?
