BIG DISCO / CARAVAN RAY
Well I’ve been riding in the rodeos since I was a boy
From the Isa down to Longreach and across to Kingaroy
The good times they were plenty, but one time knocked me low
The day I met that ugly bucking bull they call Disco
“Funny name for a bull”, I said to my mate
And I did a little dance as I walked over to the gate
But now years later on, I’m not laughing at all
With my family jewels shattered into pieces like a mirror ball
My first thought when I saw him was “Stayin’ Alive”
My hair stood up on end just like the Jackson-5
He tossed me through the air just like I was a “Dancing Queen”
When I hit the ground he came and stomped Bee-Gees-us out of me
Disco, big Disco
I hate that mongrel’s hide
I flamin’ near well died
He’s the toughest bloody bull that I ever tried to ride
Well he dipped his head and caught me by the waistband of my pants
And I thought “Crikey, looks like this bloke wants another dance”
So I turned around and thumped the beast fair across the snout
And said “Sorry mate, if you don’t mind I think I’ll sit this one out”
My first thought when I saw him was “Stayin’ Alive”
My hair stood up on end just like the Jackson-5
He tossed me through the air just like I was a “Dancing Queen”
When I hit the ground he came and stomped Bee-Gees-us out of me
Disco, big Disco
I hate that mongrel’s hide
I flamin’ near well died
He’s the toughest bloody bull that I ever tried to ride
Disco, big Disco
Yeah Disco had his fun
My dancing days are done
If I see that brute again I hope I’m carrying a gun
Disco, big Disco
Come and take a look
He’s the meanest in the book
And I won’t be happy till he’s hanging on a butcher’s hook
