I think the .com comes up around August 26th next year. I’ve been keeping tabs on it but it keeps getting renewed even tho the URL is parked.

Some squatter is determined to hold it until entropy claims the universe since it’s surely such a potential cash cow for somebody that they’ll eventually make $6000 on it

One time I made an offer for $100 and they responded with "We've gotten much better offers than that" and I was like "then you should probably take it, the only people who would ever want this domain are the people who run songfight.org"
Obviously they have not actually gotten better offers than that.
