Re: Nur Ein XXI Round Four "Oblivion"
And that’s me out. Not doing that wankery . See you next year. It sounds a lot like last years “ Must include use of 5/8 meter for at least one significant part of the song” - which I also hurrumphed out of. I really don’t want to spend a week trying to learn how to do some weird music thing to make a song that I probably wouldn’t want to listen to.
Though - must admit - this year up until now, all of the titles and challenges have been excellent. Good job!
…but, whoever thought of this one needs to take a trip to the Hall of Mirrors and have a good hard look at themselves.

I enjoy these types of challenges. CR, why don't you do another Chat GPT co-production, or is that only for lyrics?Caravan Ray wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 4:47 amAnd that’s me out. I was googling this morning good ways to pull this off, and the simpler ones (which I think I'll choose one of) is to just break it down in beats to a group of three and two groups of two, or two groups of two then three, like 1-2-3 1-2 1-2
Part of the fun of these challenges is to do things you hate and you might be surprised or enjoy what you come up with. In SpinTunes we had a Secondary Dominant challenge that I hated, but I got one of my favorite songs out of it, FWIW.

Yes. That is very true. And in an earlier round I would be up for it. The sad truth is life is just getting in the way and I don’t really have time for another weekend in front of the computer. Have to go to Brisbane on Sunday for my daughter’s birthday (22!! Omg). And Saturday I have to be up at 5am to watch the Socceroos smash the Seppos. Too much on.Siebass wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 8:09 am

The time signature thing at least allows me storm off in a fit of dignified artistic pique.

Every time I try to fit into a dignified artistic pique, it ends up making my ass look fat. At least you make it look spiffy.Caravan Ray wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 1:38 pm The time signature thing at least allows me storm off in a fit of dignified artistic pique.

Re: Nur Ein XXI Round Four "Oblivion"
The votes are in on the Nur Ein site.
The winner of round 4 is CARLO BRUNO JR
We will be saying goodbye to
PUMPAEDUMP
THE LONELY SOCKS CLUB
CHEWMEUPSPITMEOUT
and there was a tie for the final elimination between Moss Palace and Siebass. In the case of ties, we look at each judge's score and who rated higher on each. In the end, Moss Palace survived 3-2.
SiEBASS is the final elimination. Tschussi.
