No shit. The way I figure it, no movie has bested a comic. And Fantastic 4 was a shitty comic. So...

I saw a review show about this, and the guy basically said something along the lines of "Fantastic 4 was such a corny comic, that there's no way you could make a Fantastic 4 movie without it being completely corny." And one of the other guys on the show says, "Dude, we've already had a Fantastic 4 movie that wasn't completely corny. It was called The Incredibles."

Yeah. The FF crew must have been, uh, soiling themselves after seeing The Incredibles while still working on this mess. "But WE got the COMMISH!! Everything will be alright as long as we have the COMMISH!!"

Fantastic Four starts off bad, then tapers off.

No, I went and saw it last night and there's a lot of script that isn't very good. I couldn't stop laughing at the script, tbh. Mr. Fantastic has some crappy special effects. However, Jessica Alba is in her underwear in it, and she's hot. So, I dunno what I'd give it on an A-F scale, but I think it was fun to watch, and good insofar as movies I have no real interest in watching again go.

i heard chiklis is pretty good in it. and jessica alba in a skin tight suit isn't too bad to look at.

jessica alba.

but yeah, it was entertaining, i guess, but i never plan on watching it again.

there were a few things that pissed me off, so...

spoilers

the "storm" they got caught in caused them to evolve... but their uniforms took on the characteristics of each of their unique abilities...
since when do fucking clothes evolve?!?!?!?

also, The Thing originally took almost 4 days to change after the storm, but then when he changes back at the end of the movie, it's instantaneous. that bothered me. whateva.

/spoilers

so yeah... D

yeah, that Thing thing bothered me too. He was all so eager to go back in but it's like... remember when you transformed the first time? and you were in bed for three days? and how there wasn't enough power without ol' shitface to juice it up?

yeah. this was pretty bad. "the incredibles" kicked its ass all over.

this one had no memorable moments. the commercials make it look like an actual superhero movie...with action and fight scenes. instead, they sit around and try to figure out a way to not be super heroes anymore.

spoilers

was anyone else bothered by the fact that mr. fantastic was able to have such a high tech lab on top of a skyscraper even though he had been a financial failure? that pissed me off.

My biggest problem with this movie, besides the terrible terrible dialogue, is the terrible terrible excuse for a diabolic scheme. I mean, Dr. Doom is this super-intelligent evil dude who is always concocting these complicated plans to take over the world, but in this movie all he can come up with is a heat-seeking missile, some melodromatic mind-games (that were first seen on Guiding Light around 1950 or something), and a freeze-bath? And why does he want to destroy these dudes anyway if he's so all-fired pleased with his transformation? I mean come on, nobody's buying the "it's all Reed's fault" malarkey.

Ugh. I'm downgrading this to a D- just out of spite. The writing is so bad, it's insane. INSANELY BAD WRITING.

they really fucked up dr. doom, which ruined the movie for me (that's not all that ruined the movie for me, by the way).

I'm really sad to hear this sucked so bad. I was hoping for something cool, but I started lowering my expectations a lot when they started announcing the cast. They must have had to save their money for the effects, and cut back on casting and writing or something.

Let's not forget that quantum leap in privatized spaceflight in the first place.

In the rush of reviving old comic book characters  this is absolutelly the worst and the most pathetic attempt ever (along with Daredevil)
