I really wanna do a big band song in the style of crooner-era swing jazz.
Needed:
Acoustic bass
Strings
Arranger
Singer
Horns
Guitar
Triangle/Timpani/Vibes percussion
Who's in?

Ooh yes! Any kinda vocally thing, like harmonies... possibly. Or triangle (my school band sinecure).
Now I have to review.

I'd love to play trombone. But of course I don't. Plus going away soon forever, so that sort of gets in the way of things.

I'd be glad to take part. Although I don't have an acoustic bass I can make my electric bass sound pretty close to one. Anyway, I'm in and it sounds like a great idea.

I wish I had an accoustic bass too. And jazz bass chops.
And obviously the drum chair is filled.
So I'll just wave flags from the sidelines or something.

OK, three weeks, but for me that's a long time. Should have used a less provocative term, but I was in trip-preparation mode...my point being no musical output for a while. Pretty much land and get right on another flight to Boston

Which presents a challenge for rocking that night which I have to figure out. hmmm

I'd gladly offer up my rusty tenor saxomaphoning skills.
I played it at Octofest:

Strings in a big band always have the most boring of boring parts. I'll just sit back and watch, thanks.

I would LOVE to lay out some big band drumming.
Just like Neil Peart in "burning for buddy".
Kidding...kidding.

Two. One to hold the bulb and one to spin the throne.
