SF Live Boston IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hi gang, the show is now less than three weeks away, and there is a lot of information scattered around. I'm putting stuff here that everyone who is coming needs to know about, as soon as possible. The main thread is huge and I'm afraid that vital stuff will get lost or missed.
Please do not reply in this thread! I think that it would be very helpful to keep it as uncluttered as possible.
1. If you are coming, please say so in this thread! Give a band name and a home town. It will only take a second- guest posting is okay so you don't even have to bother to register. Please do so whether or not you plan to actually perform. If you fail to do so, you may find yourself left off of the schedule and/or promotional materials. I don't mean to be callous but I have a shitload of stuff to worry about and I really do appreciate if y'all make things as easy as possible for me.
I understand that some folks aren't sure yet and/or are still trying to scratch up enough scratch to get themselves to the east coast. Just try to keep me up to date because I do have deadlines to work with.
Currently at 24 confirmed artists.
2. Two scheduling issues. First: if you are not going to be able to attend part of the show, make sure you let me know when you are available, so I don't schedule your band to play when you aren't there. I know boltoph has another gig on Friday night but that's the only conflict that I am aware of right now.
Second: The "standard" set time for the evening shows will probably be 25 minutes each, though I may have to cut this down a little bit. This time includes your set-up and un-set-up so if you can't just walk up on stage and grab a guitar and go, you will have to take that into account. You can safely expect that there will be at least three or four guitars, a bass or two, a couple of keyboards, a drum kit, a couple of line jacks to plug in a laptop/cd player/midi module/ipod/whatever, and at least two or three vocal mikes, all just waiting for you to play them. If you need to set up anything unusual, that's on your time, but feel free to PM me if you have really odd requirements. We'll probably be able to rig something for ya.
I am currently soldering together a multimedia bonanza to accompany my own rendition of "Shut Up and Sit Down" and I am not afraid to turn it on if you go over your time.
If you are willing to take less time, please send me a PM and let me know. Scheduling is gonna be tight, and every few minutes will help. I'm not asking people to make sacrifices here, there is time for everyone. I'm only trying to get a handle on whether or not you really want to only do a couple of songs.
If you think you deserve more time, well, you'd probably better make a really strong case for it. (pretend there was still a nevada icon here)
The acoustic set times are likely to be somewhat longer. I will be sending out some private messages to the people who said they were interested in doing this, probably later tonight. If you want to do this it ain't too late to let me know.
edited 8/1: both parts of #3 seem to be taken care of, yay!
3. I am looking for volunteers to handle videography and promotional materials. Here are more details. Tee-shirts, especially, seem to have about a two week lag period, unless you want to pay exorbitant rush fees that I can not afford, so this probably needs to get done within the next week.
Questions? Please put them in the main concert thread, or the special concert forum, whatever seems more appropriate to you.
Thank you!
love,
ben.
