I love all bands ever.

While I can't say I actively hate any bands or songs, I find it very annoying when a song I don't particularly like gets stuck in my head. At the risk of spreading the virus, "Feliz Navidad" is probably the worst.

One time in the middle of summer I went to a Pizza Hut and put a dollar in the jukebox and played that song four times. The first time it got a few chuckles from some diners, but at the start of the second time through it was made very clear that it was time to go.

I changed my mind on the 'Zep pretty dramatically about 5 years ago. Used to HATE them, now I can appreciate them, even like a few numbers quite a lot - Bonham and Jones were THE rock rhythm section. I can leave the hippy shit about elves and Loki, mind. It's probably an age thing, sadly

despite the fact that it's the same verse/chorus/lyrics 90 times, i love that song. it's fun to sing along to.

I prolly wouldn't have searched them out, but I think on Frankie's recommendation caught them at Siren Fest this year and they were very cool. At least live. At least once. Now I'll go and listen some more.

I used to really hate sub-growl heavy metal thrash, but then this guy who drove me to the airport every week told me he had a band and also hosted a public access cable TV show. He was the most normal 20-something kind of guy, but his show was the most bizarre thing I've seen on TV. He also interviewed thrash bands and played live videos of their gigs. It was soooo funny and they were just really having a great time, and somehow it became somewhat infectous. So now I can't help laughing when I hear it.

The Cure is one of my all time favorite bands. Same with Led Zeppelin.

And Luke have you ever heard Presence by Zeppelin. Bonzo's Montreaux is one of the greatest drum solos ever done. I can't help it about my love for Zep. I was stoned for the first time in my life, just started learning the bass, and listening to Led Zeppelin II with colourful lights swirling around my buddy's room and the bassline for Ramble On came on. I honestly drooled.

I just can't get into bands like TLC. That stuff is drivel.

I've never found anything about Celine Dion or Mariah Carey appealing. Celine especially, is so irritating... god.

Bands like Bowling for Soup are fun at first..but the more I hear it, the more it bugs me.


Basically, bubblegum pop just wears me down. It is catchy, and fun, but the more you hear it, the worse it gets. I prefer music that grows on me in a positive way rather than stuff that wears me down from it's corporate intent.

hey, back off, man. I love the Zep. But more to the point, this is all about the subjective individualisms that make us all so unique. And especially those that demonstrate that my tastes are superior to those whose tastes are simply...wrong

But honestly The Cure's Head on the Door is a GREAT record. Maybe one of my faves of all time. They lost me as they progressed from there in many ways.

And Leaf if the drool wasn't coming out it would be constant vertigo for the band mates on stage. So leave the drool out of it. Plus I couldn't do my James Brown dance. Need lube.

Back on topic:
I can take it sometimes for the sheer campiness at times. Probably when I'm in a good mood or something, but elevator tunes in Supermarkets of Beatles songs makes me want to go down every aisle with containers of milk and lots of eggs and start pouring and chucking all over the merchandise.
