open client
give yourself a nickname then:
Use your IRC program to connect to irc.chatjunkies.org then join channel #songfight! Be sure to include the exclamation point in the channel name.

for more details it would help to know the client.

I may never be the same again.

I was terrified. I knew NOTHING about mexican food.

I did get the full Norm treatment though...that was cool. Yeah, yeah, what happens in the IRC stays in the IRC...fuck, you'd think it was Vegas.

I'll pop around again in another month or so...

Hey everyone, as of this posting there are SIX people including myself idle in the chat room. Madness.

Also, everyone currently in the room is at least 2 years old, songfight time.

So, 'new' guys, take some initiative, become a part of the community, and join us in irc. Don't know how? It is indeed scary at first.

Here is the direct link to the Chatjunkies login site. Just pick a name, pick #songfight! in the dropdown menu, and you're in (it takes a minute to log you in, be patient). You will see familiar names. We may greet you.

Now, if you want a faster way to get on, more customization, more utilities, etc., go get yourself a real irc client. Most people I know use Mirc. Download it, and once you're installed and everything, the way to find us is to go to irc server us.chatjunkies.org - the type /join #songfight! (don't forget the !).

Next, be sure to change all the colors around so that when you're chatting with songfighters, you feel like you're in the Matrix:

So I'm talking directly to the newer guys, particularly the new guys whose post counts are rising higher than Blue's blood pressure. Come join us, you're missing out on a lot of Songfight goodness.

I like to head into IRC when I'm really really drunk.

So I'll probably be there tonight...

Hey.

Hey guys.

You should all come hang out and chat.

It's a pretty happening place. (Well, I don't know if it is really, because I'm in there for the first time in weeks, but still. It's happening right now.)

IRC reviews:

- it's still happening, but erik left as soon as I showed up. Bjam and Jim are carrying the weight with no difficulty, however.

Good thing the link doesn't work. Maybe that's why nobody went to it.

Last few times I've stopped by there's been like two people idling. I think it's pretty much dead.

*And it's not like you are there or anything.

Well it's because you stopped coming, what with your insightful conversations about video games and girls and how you're REALLY REALLY GAY :( and so on.

Oh man. I used to love it when Sober would come in and be all "so this girl! oh god!" and start going on about her boobs or something. It was, actually, really funny.

So we were filming a few scenes for a music video today and it called for a house party, so we threw one, and some girls came over. And they had boobies. It was pretty cool.
