I don't want to make a big deal of this, but I don't understand why this was censored, I mean I never thought we were a big censoring sort of community.

Maybe they've changed their minds about having swear words on the inside page as well. Maybe it was a mistake. Maybe some third thing I haven't considered.

The point is, there is a precedent for "censorship".

REally luke, it's kinda of silly pointless band name. Unless it's true. Then it's shameless advertising.

It's me and 8LO. 8 plus two legs (my two legs) is ten legs. Ten = X and XL also means it's an extra large effort. And Oedipus fucked his mother. So it's an awesome, amazing band name!

Maybe it was an innocent mistake and they'll fix it as soon as it gets noticed.

The censoring of front page obscenities is understandable, since people view this site at work. The censoring of band names <i>period</i>, though, is definitely crossing a line that shouldn't be crossed. I know I don't make the rules around here, and I have much respect for those who do. I'm just hoping bad lines aren't being crossed.

Yeah, but they don't have to to get to the songs, which are the main point (well, presumably) of the website. Censoring curses from a message board is beyond ridiculous (well, unless it's like a Kindergartner's Workshop board or something).

There was no mistake.

We do not allow FUCK on the front page for the reasons stated correctly elsewhere in this thread. The inside page and the front page come off of the same database, and therefore the names are the same.

When this song goes into the archive, it will be changed, since that transitions to a different database.
