I thought it was ... okay ... ish. Cool to see Loudon Wainwright III and some other people, but the writing wasn't very good and it kind of fell apart by the end and Cameron Crowe is way too into himself. Needs to impose a limit to how many fucking pop songs he can put in his movies. It's like Garden State but for older people.

Haven't seen it (won't, either), but the first thing I thought was "Wow! It looks like the crappy version of Garden State." Sounds like I wasn't far off the mark.

I thought "Garden State" was crappy to begin with, myself. Or mediocre, anyway.

I thought this was really good. And Garden State was not the first movie with a man falling in love with a "quirky" woman. And this was at least 4 times better than Garden State anyway. In fact, there is really no connection between the two in my mind.
