Again, accordion is offered for Bonjour, and sax is asked for (maybe).

Hm. I was thinking of maybe entering the French one, because, well, you know. But then again, I write lots and lots of songs about relationship angst, so perhaps Green fight would suit me better.
Or maybe I'll be lazy and do nothing.

So I guess I'm gonna do I Thought I Loved You about how SongFight was cool but now it's not. Then I'm going to leave forever and come back with and American accent and pretend to be someone else.
(SongFight really is cool though)

It would be cooler if you never came back.

i got something rolling around mentally for "i thought i loved you" ...
so maybe i will end up entering that one ...
or maybe it will end up being one of sixteen zillion times i had an idea that didn't go anywhere. only time will tell.

I more than likely will have no time, unless I do another jam post-sfuk live, but I would love to do 'Bonjour' - a Serge Gainsbourg tribute, natch... the idea is willing but the flesh is 100 miles away from the instruments.
Still, I'm posting so at least the internet has reached the wilds of the midlands.

i stood on the banks till the river rose up
i saw the bride in her wedding gown
i was in the house when i nearly buned the house down...

hey, remember that time sober was having relationship problems, and we all helped him out in a 4-page or something thread, gave him free counseling? it's good to see that he's properly thankful for our help.

Oh, Johnny, you know you want me.
Oh, Johnny Cashpoint - his name should be more like 'Don Juan-y Cashpoint,' he's so good to me

Your Honor, the people present Exhibit A. Here's 3 simple rules for avoiding incriminating evidence against yourself:
Don't write anything down
Don't record an admission of guilt
And never, ever take pictures of yourself holding the evidence (See Lee Harvey Oswald for a prime example)
Seriously though, I would like your pemission to use this for my Christmas cards this year.

I was actually thinking that a creative soul might find a way to turn that into cover art. Nearly burned down the house, perhaps?
I'm back, I think

Hi all, Bell Green here. God it's been bloody ages. And it's all changed and I had to register again and everything. Good to see that you guys are still at it. I got married and went on honeymoon and all that, so I've been out of Songfight and off the boards for about 4 months or so now. I've written a song - Nearly Burned the House Down, but feel very rusty, even more than my guitar strings. Let's see if I can remember how to record and produce it and master it and all that stuff. I think I'll be happy just to get something in and get the ball rolling again. So count me in on the next fight, unless my machine breaks down or something.
Take care . . .
