This movie was amazing. It was very very hard to watch at times, which is even more amazing considering there is not one scene of combat. The whole exploration of the mindset of these soldiers is what is truly disturbing. Everyone needs to go see this immediately.

Spoilers. Maybe. I don't know.
The movie is gorgeous, the acting is amazing, the story is told very objectively (it's not pro-war or anti-war), and I loved every minute of it until it ended, at which point I found myself thinking "That's it? It's over?". It just sort of stops. Coming from a director who has a history of very powerful endings, I kind of wish this film had one. I'm glad they made the movie the way they did, and I'm glad I saw it. I just didn't walk out liking it very much. For a perfect 3/4 of a movie, they get 75%, so a B-.

Yeah. Three Kings holds as a near masterpiece cinematically. I was (somewhat obviously) expecting this to feel more like American Beauty in the desert as far as the cinematography is concerned, it it pretty muuch did. I though the shots were well crafted and many of the setups were pretty stunning, but nothing yet has captured the escence of that situation like Kings.jb wrote:cinematography was ok i guess, but I remember seeing Three Kings and going "SHIT YEAH"
