Urgh. I did this last year. Got 57,356 words done by the end of Novemer. A lot of it was random thoughts of the protagonist, but it didn't turn out too bad suprisingly. Had one hell of a time forcing myself to spew out at least 2000 words a night.
Songfighter since back in the day.

Welp, I signed up. Let's see how long it takes me to give up. Takin' all bets.

i've got a blank word document in front of me, and i know how it's going to start, but i haven't started typing yet. i decided i needed some music to listen to while writing, so i am downloading the songfight archives. the whole archives. i've gotten through most of the B's... hopefully it will finish by the time i get home from work tomorrow night...

one of my self-imposed rules is that i must listen to merzbow while writing the novel. not a word can be written without merzbow playing.

I wrote 336 words, and thought it was 1700 because I didn't know how to interpret the output of 'wc'.

I'm doomed!

I'm attempting this. I say attempting because 50,000 is an awful lot of words and I only have a small brain. I am presently 0 words in, though I do have an idea.
Good luck to the rest of you.

I just found this thread. NaNoWriMo is the shit! Good luck to all you do-ers! I did one in 1999 and it was so much fun. It's crap, but it's not unreadable. There's a kind of zen in writing just to put words down, knowing full well that no one, not even yourself, is likely to read them.

Go go go! 50,000 or bust!

I'm at 14,600. Still behind schedule, but not by much.
It feels like it's going to be tough to keep this story going for 50k words. But we'll see.

ummmm, ok i'm out.

what was I thinking...no time. I commend all of you who will get this done or somewhat done. Next year I'm in for sure, but this year is cutting me no slack in the spare time department.

I hope there will be some links to work completed here though!
