E Equals
Don't die on me yet
You know I'm not that quick to forget
Everything you said to me
I try to stay kind
Laboring through all your selfless good deeds
Wondering why I didn't enlist
The stars above
To save me
Give it up
I always thought you could
Give it up somehow
But it never seems to work that way
Every night, and nearly every day
I hear you complain, I hear you talking
I see that pseudo-thoughtful walking
But it doesn't do for me anymore
No no
You seem to lack
The elements of style, baby
You're brilliant and unpretentious
One of the points I've never
Been willing to contend to
My friend
It's true
I thought I loved you
So sad, I said it, and what can I do
I guess it's the way
That I'm imbued every day
Every day
Don't die on me yet
Me and my girlfriends, we made a bet
They said you wouldn't last the day
But I see it another way
I try to stay kind
Thinking there's a pulse beating in there
Wondering if you'll ever change
The Lord above
Oh help me
Rearrange
I always thought you could
Make the change somehow
But it never seems to work that way
Every night, and nearly every day
I hear you complain, I hear you talking
I see that pseudo-thoughtful walking
But it doesn't do for me anymore
No no
You seem to lack
The elements of style, baby
You're brilliant and unpretentious
One of the points I've never
Been willing to contend to
My friend
It's true
I thought I loved you
So sad seeing nothing but resistance
And every action you take is
Nothing, nothing, nothing
Your elegance is unapproachable
Your exquisite taste is so delectable
Your intellect's impenetrable
You glitter and glitter away
There may be something I'm
Missing, and that's okay
It's not my fault
Just try a little harder
And the plan for recovery is simple
You may start by not trying
Start by not trying
Start by not trying so hard

Oh you're so slick, yeah, you're so smooth
You got the elements of style,
the greatest licks, the latest groove
and you've bought a perfect smile
So tell me can you sleep at night, now that your star is shining bright?
Tell me was it worth the cost, when weighed against all you have lost?
Somewhere somehow you lost your way, you gave it up, you took the pay
Hatched yourself a masterplan, you played the game, you played the man
Where's the substance?
where's your soul?
Write what you believe in
Give me something whole
Look within the mirror
see what's staring back
Face to face to nothing much
another soulless hack
You got the heavens at your fingertips,
the world within your reach
Another sunshine superhit
for the party on the beach
But strip away the chrome veneer, there's really nothing special here
look behind the shine and gloss, there's nothng but a pile of dross
Your tunes are tired and infantile; your words are trite, your thoughts facile
there's nothing here that's worth the while, there's just the elements of style
Where's the substance?
where's your soul?
Write what you believe in
Give me something whole
Look within the mirror
see what's staring back
Face to face to nothing much
another soulless hack
Go fuck yourself
Go fuck yourself
Go fuck yourself

have you heard the news today
there is no more
didn't you hear that yesterday
there is no more
oxygen and hydrogen feed the human need
for neon lights, butane grills and cocktails kerosene
have you heard the news today
there is no more
didn't you hear that yesterday
there is no more
rayon shirts and nylon cords bind the starving man
clear-cut every last strip mall to blind him is our plan
have you heard the news today
there is no more
didn't you hear that yesterday
there is no more
carbon mines and cages iron filled with woeful news
wear the death of ancient glades - don their amber hues
have you heard the news today
there is no more
didn't you hear that yesterday
there is no more
have you filled your tank today
there is no more
didn't you fill it yesterday
there is no more

Elements of Style by Kamakura
The elements of style are many and I don't know
what makes the penny, I don’t know what makes the penny drop
Dress one way and you're a ganger,
another look creates a wanker
the third, oh god, you're just so fucking hot!
Yet you are you clothes or not and
What you think doesn't matter a jot
But what you wear can turn me squidgey woo
I want to peel clothes from your body
I want to dress you like a Ken or a Barbie
I want to make my wildest dreams come true
But you look real daft in puce,
Blue is tough it wouldn't work on you
Black just makes you look so very goth
Doc Martins make your feet look big
Versace thinks you should wear a wig
Whilst Levi's give that 'Brokeback Mountain' look
The elements of style are many and I don't know
what makes the penny, I don’t know what makes the penny drop
You're hot! Or not!

Elements of Style by Johnny Cashpoint
Misplaced an apostrophe, well it's hardly a catastrophe, but it's a
Victory for pedantry and less than common decency,
Hand the grammar grandmas your defeat, could beat them easily
But you take it casually, and that's what really bothers me
CHORUS: Well, their elements of style they are going out of style
They might have had control but only for a while
Modern life, our language is monosyllabic
Spell everything phonetic, kinetic, it's so cool and tragic
Blatant use of comma wrongly won't dismantle industry
Or coma for society, no elemental dignity
Victory for grammar nazis, we could beat them finally
But they got off scot-free - death sentence has been written incorrectly
CHORUS
What does it matter, well the little things
Are the building blocks to the bigger things
And they're the foundations of everything
And that's why it matters to me.

The Elements of Style

Horns by Steve Durand
It doesn’t matter what you wear
It only matters if you’re there
And pick the right there to be
And make sure you’re who they see
Go where the cameras go, be in the photos
And act like that’s just how it ought to be
Don’t matter what the colors are
Just wear it like a superstar
Be sure to hold your head up high
And swagger like you’re super-fly
Get in with the “inâ€

The Elements of Style
by Stubs
last verse by Spud and Benny
----------------------------------
Carl ate some spicy stuff.
He can take it like a man.
But there are things that he can't.
He has trouble with head bands.
He can't wear pink.
Because of his fear.
That people will judge him.
His sense of style insincere.
[Begin Chorus]
Pants, shoes and hair ties.
Leather and purple dye.
Clip, cut, wash, dry.
Metalic foil, hair to fry.
Muscle tone and tanning beds.
Pretty smiles and well shaped heads.
These are elements of style.
But how much are they worthwhile?
[End Chorus]
Josh liked cows and he liked cats.
He liked clothes and he liked fashion.
But he didn't know key elements.
He had lots of things that were off.
Like a big wide belt.
Made of shiny white knots.
People would look and stare.
He didn't care because he thought he knew.
[Chorus]
Guano is a desert tribesman.
He has nails through his head.
The day he cares about fashion.
Is the day he will be dead.
Fashion has many things.
Guano cares not for the effete.
The elements that he's concerned with.
Are ones that give him food to eat.
[Chorus]
Guano hunts for food all day.
Wearing Gucci just wouldn't pay.
Today he is swathed in cotton,
All he cared of fashion is long forgotten.
Veils and bangles, scarves and belts,
Are prized no more than hides and pelts.
For Guano those fussy elements of style,
Mean no more than his camel's pile.

The Elements Of Style
By Damien Verrett
A new periodic table has been introduced,
listen closely and I'll instruct you,
on the correct elements of style.
Listen up cause you're doing it all wrong
(Put your hair like this, wear your shirt like this.
Look his socks don't match his eyebrows)
You're not the only one who has
to struggle with their outfit
I'll show you the elements.
You're not the only one who's not
physically attractive. But it's not a problem.
Let's all go to the abercrombie and fitch
We'll buy ripped pants for a hundred bucks
They are more cause they're cooler
Cause they make us look like we fall down all of the time
You're not the only one who's ugly.
Don't you even worry I'll fix you
You're not the only one who's hideous.
You're not the only one, but you are exceptional
Let's all go to the mall, we'll hit up starbucks
Cause I'm having a moccha fix
Then we can go to abercrombie and fitch
and buy more ripped pants.
