Have you seen this show? It's absolutely insane. I was first introduced to this show by accident as I was standing by a park in Manhattan, talking on my cellphone. Then I noticed a little further into the park, an old man being bothered by a blue puppet and a camera. I would soon learn that I was in the presence of greatness- Clarence from Wonder Showzen.
(Nothing better than seeing an old man take a swing at a puppet.)

I guess no one has seen Wonder Showzen (it's hard to catch sometimes). Well, for the uninitiated, here's a clip of Clarence from Wonder Showzen:

I have a love/hate relationship with this show. It has some great shit (like the guy who's reading to kids, but he's just reading silently, except he can't even read, but he thinks the kids think he CAN read... and the "what are you running from?" bit... and the Mexico thing... etc...) but there's way too much that's just tedious (the patience episode, and some of the funny/not funny things). It could be great, but the show's creators don't know when to hold back. Which is the point. So it isn't great.

they actually had/have the pilot episode on ebaumsworld a few years back, which more or less became the first episode, with some things changed and other things added. i think this show is genius, the episode where god kills himself after losing paper/rock/scissors is awesome, especially when the little girl and the puppets commence to feast on his corpse.

i saw one on M2 last night. well, i saw the first half of it. there were some quite funny bits (clarence was good, and something else i can't remember right now was good) but sadly the not-funny to funny ratio was too high and i felt i could find a better use of my time. i think i found some 'sanford & son' on nick@nite which is one of the funniest shows ever made.
