I got the Who will cut our hair album and it's so dense and impenatrable. I was a bit surprised but i do need to listen to it more. 'I was born a Unicorn' though is an amazing song.

One of my favorite albums.

I personal consider it like... the bestest album ever. Not really, but it's one of my favorites.

I liked it a ton the first time I heard it and then it just continued to grow on me and now I absolutely love every song.

Is there any place I can hear some of their stuff? Amazon's got nothing, and their website no longer exists...

http://www.cs.mcgill.ca/~abatko/unicorns/music/

That has some really old versions of the songs that appear on the album.

Don't judge on that though, those are really really rough recordings.

Oh, you could always find them on myspace to hear four of their real songs.

Why?!! dopeness.
I saw his Rubber Traits video yesterday and it's bloody great. I hope he plays 21st Century Pop Song for you

I also gave Who Will Cut Our Hair.... a closer listen and it does sound like if you had a band with Andy Broder, Luke.

"I hate you"
"I hate you too"

Hahaha, aw shucks. Ps why don't we have a band. We could kick the Unicorns ass (and yes I know it's because I'm a completely unreliable collaborator and I'm sorry). Anyway, I kind of want to move to the UK so let's think on it.

we sure would
I was gonna say actually (and maybe this isn't the place for it), we should scrap doing one for songfight and just start a band. and I'm glad you're unreliable cos at least that means I wasn't being intentionally snubbed

I still think you should write a verse for 'Shoot for tuesday' even if it's too late to submit

and err...unicorns are good :D they're there if we agree that they're there then they're there

I got Return To The Sea three days ago and I think I might actually like it more than Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're gone.

Oh jesus. The lead singer's like an eleven year old who just got into Pavement. And the crowd sucked. And god dammit, really boring pisspoor show. Why? was fucking AMAZING though. God damn I have a bad taste in my mouth. And it's raining.
