D-GENERATION X!!!!!!

As a fan of technical wrestling, DX should've been something I hated. But, I thought DX was hilarious. During my time in college there were many tales of me & Yvil Mike checking audio-visual equipment by reciting:

"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages. Degeneration X is proud to bring to you the WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD!!! The Road Dogg Jesse James. The Badd Ass Billy Gunn. The New Age Outlaws!"

"And if you're not down with that, we've got two words for ya."

To which any wrestling fan in the class we were checking would reply "SUCK IT"!

There are also many pics of the day we got our gorgeous Asian friend to wear her shortest shorts and a DX Suck-It t-shirt (as well as a bunch of pics of guys with their eyes doinmg wild takes at the sight of her)

Thanks, Dan for the trip down memory lane.

yeah, i used to watch wrestling in middle school. that's when the wwf was REALLY popular and d-generation x was big. i loved x-pac. i think every guy in my school said suck it to another guy at least once every day.

mankind was awesome too.

i think i preferred the comedic wrestlers.

I like how they're hinting at it now. Wrestlemania last Sunday (and Raw last Monday) had a bunch of DX chants.

DX was fun, but X-Pac might have been the worst wrestler ever. And Chyna sucked. And the New Age Outlaws couldn't wrestle for shit.

Okay so basically they were good at comedy. Driving in a tank to WCW's door was priceless.

I like where former DXers are now. Chyna is out of wrestling (but was in contract negotiations with WWE recently, what the fuck), X-Pac shows up for dark matches in TNA every once in a while (or PPV matches with Raven, hahaha), Billy Gunn and Jesse James are exactly the same tag team they were, except now in TNA (and still sucking just as much, using the same old schtick). HHH can't wrestle and is out of shape but is the boss's son-in-law and gets whatever he wants.

At least Shawn Michaels is great!

Is *that* where rule #4 came from? Will wonders never cease.

Personally, I'm a "George 'The Animal' Steele" man. Mmmm, pillows...

How would they even redo DX? Have Trip turn face and turn on Vince? Then what? The Outlaws are in TNA. X-Pac is too scattered brained and signed that contract with MTV (if they actually do the MTV Wrestling Promotion). So what would they do? Create a third DX? But with who... I think the cross chops from wrestlemania were the kliq being the kliq. They can do whatever they damn well please. So if they wanna throw up DX signs, Vince won't care. Trip's giving him another McMahon child. Shawn's bringing in the Christians, making wrestling more accessible to middle america. Vince is happy.

Live. In the early '80s. Good show. Guess that puts me closer to Jack than Niv, heh.

I don't know which I'm more appalled by- that someone mentioned The Oddities or the Taka Michinoku avatar.

PS- I may have seen him Steele wrestle live. I can't recall all the matches that I've saw at MSG when I was kid. I do recall watching The Rougeau Bros vs. The Rockers and me & my cousin Jason singing along to "All American Boys". That was a low point in my wrestling fandom. That and meeting Greg Valentine....when he was a part of Rhythm and Blues with the Honky Tonky Man.

(Highlights include getting Tony Atlas' autograph when he came to my dad's job. Funny thing is my dad worked at a porn shop. Who gives out autographs at a porn shop?)
