Thank God You're Here
To most (ok, to basically all) the people here, this will mean nought. But I love this show so much.
The basic premise is, each week, the show gets four celebrities. They are dressed in a costume and put into a room. The thing is, they don't know anything about the situation they are in. Who they are, what they are expected to do, how they should act. If you get someone good, it is hilarious.
Examples are, Shaun Micallef and Frank Woodley. Micallef's is possibly the funniest yet in the season.
Apparently a US station has bought the format, so you Yankees might be seeing something like this pretty soon.

hey, these are great. i like the improv format. it's actually kind of like a skit they do at the rennaissance fest here in maryland, except there's no costumes or set. and the ideas come from the audience...
anyway, yeah. are there more of these for the viewing? let us know if you hear more about possible us showings.

i had to pretend i was from sydney, but the australian tv site claims it'll have a sample video from each week as it comes out... have to remember to check back.

Finally got to see this last week - yes it is very funny - a very good idea for a show.
BTW: I also bought a Micallef DVD last week (2nd series of the Micallef P(r)ogram) - he is without doubt the funniest man on the planet. Sheer brilliance.
Also finally worked out how to view the .wmv files you posted above. I've never been a fan of Lano & Woodley - but I must admit - Woodley is bloody funny in that.
