Local Band Thread

I thought I'd start a thread to plug some of the unsigned bands in the area who will unfortunately never get heard on a significant scale; some of these are too good not to mention. I wish they'd all start songfighting but some people apparently have better things to do (?!?!?). I look forward to hearing some secret local gems from various geographically challenged corners of the world so I hope this takes off.
Screaming Keith - the band with whom Carpetburn plays a friendly game of musical one-up-manship. I like to think we inspire each other, but they shit all over the 'burn really.
Plans & Apologies - erm, well they were local when I lived in Derby. they give away shiteloads of free music and it's all great. like a more twee version of Screaming Keith
The Jesus Years - also from Derby, the best kind of instrumental rock ever, none of that post-rock malarkey. I love this band so much, their drummer is incredible and he's about 17
Lupen Crook - the one with the record deal. This guy was in a few bands (the best of which was Bonzai Reservoir) before going solo and now he sounds like if Bowie did the soundtrack to a Tim Burton film, brilliant!
Chet - we played with these guys once and they were like a prog Pixies. well good
oh yeah, and the link in my signature is a good indication of what goes on 'round our way. Let Our Enemies Beware!shoulda mentioned them, brutal and precise.
