Hmm not sure if this is in the right place
In the cover art archive, my 'please the pig' reject cover is listed as being by 'None'. When you've got a chance could you fix that so that it reads 'Johnny Cashpoint'?
Many thanks

No it's by me. But some might say that I am quite anonymous.

I accidentally uploaded several copies of "Massive Intelligence Failure" the other week. If an admin is able, please remove the extraneous copies.
Also, the winning New Sex cover art is not listed in the cover art archive.
Thanks. ^_^

I don't know why it is bothering me but it is. But... when ever I have a title that has an 's in it and I submit my art for it I end up with a title that has a /'s instead. It's anoying or should I say It/'s ... please help.

Spud: It/'s doing it again. My "Let/'s" has that extra "/" in it. What's going on there anyway?
Thanks

Lengthy explanation :D

There are two ways of encapsulating strings in php: using single-quotes or double-quotes. If a quotation makr matching the encapsulating character needs to appear in the string, one must escape the character with a forward-slash, \.
The file upload code changes the ' to a \' because the coder thought (correctly or incorrectly, I don't know) that the other code encapsulates the fight name in single-quotes rather than double-quotes. That's fine. However, the utilitity that changes the file name upon upload accidentally changes an apostrophe to a <i>backslash</i>-apostrophe, /'. So the IMG tags on the art page try to access a directory that does not exist.
Your art is at
http://www.songfight.org/covers/Let\'sGoBoy_bort400.jpg.
So until the code is fixed, the only solution is to simply drop any apostrophes or quotation marks in song titles when uploading.
To the fightmasters: If you could send me the upload utility code, I could quickly scan and fix the bug for you.

Apparently, here's the problem: using a forward-slash in a URL in html causes the browser to interpret it as a back-slash. Oh, dear.

Spud fixed it in the past and he will fix it again in the future, because Spud is cool like that.
As for the rest of that php crap: Blah! It's just the internet being stupid as usual, but the art is just fine. So thanks.

I have fixed it again, bort.
As far as the code goes, I have added stripslashes() to the code that reads the fight name from the submittal form. That should do the trick. I guess we will find out next time.

Thanks,
bort

Hey Spud:
If you wanna, you can delete the duplicate Clip Art artwork by "none."
http://www.songfight.org/artpage.php?key=336
I accidentally submitted my entry w/o a credit the first time thru. Keep the one by Tawny. Sorry for the messup and thanks!
