This isn't music-related, it's vacation-related.

I was talking with someone who planned to base-tan as a form of sunscreen, which the American Cancer Society is all "yo that's whack" about. Just in case anyone wonders why I'm pastey white that weekend:

Myths About Tanning

Hopefully this doesn't sound preachy, I'm just trying to squash Mr. Myth.

I never understood why, when presented with either SPF15 and SFP45, people would use SPF15. I don't worship the sun and am proud to be pastey white :) But, yeah, sometimes a nice tan is HOT!

i think you also have to consider one's "propensity to burn" factor too. most people with red hair and freckles burn real bad and easy, while other people have alot of tolerance. honestly, i live 5 minutes from the beach and go all the time and rarely use sunscreen. of course i also time how long i'm out in the sun half nekkid. moderation is a form of sunscreen too.

plus, that shit is expensive and i'm cheap.

I'm pretty damn white. I slowly get kinda tanned over the summer, just from going out occasionally. That said I'm a lovely fan of sunscreen because going bright red and then flaking for a few days just to look golden-beautiful is not my idea of fun.
