As long as it's better than this, I'll be happy.

I was a wee bit disappointed that so many of the funniest jokes appeared in the trailer... but I thought this was pretty great.

The final scene is worth the price of admission alone.

I saw last week it and laughed my ass off. I saw it again two nights ago and realized how deep the emotional ties actually go in the movie. The first time the emotion came across really well, but the second time, after I knew when all the jokes were coming, I noticed how deep, strong, and well crafted the emotional content of this movie is. And I still laughed my ass off.

Definite A

Most depressing comedy ever! My roommate, who did not see the movie, couldn't wrap his brain around the concept that a movie could be depressing and hilarious at the same time. But that is what this movie is.

A is for Awesome.

I didn't get depressing. I thought the beauty and joy and connection of this family far outshined the depression. I can't wait to see this one again.

I liked it but thought it'd be funnier.

I love these indie films but could've sworn that I read it was a "comedy", and it was no more a comedy than other "drama" films like it..

But that was my only let-down.

I don't know what theater you went to, but you should get your money back because they must have played the wrong film. Was it all black and white? Maybe you're confusing it with Schindler's List.

This is the funnniest movie I have seen in a long time. The trailer pretty much lays out on the line the exact type of comedy it's going to be, which is the kind of comedy where the humor arises from the uncomfortablenesses that exist between a group of people who can't or won't communicate with each other very well. It's not the kind of comedy where unbelievable things happen and people say stupid things to make the audience laugh.

It's hella good. Hella, hella, hella. I love the whole trend towards scores being variations on an existing song. (Also see Junebug)
