Freedom to Display the American Flag

This is what our people are busy writing into law. Bush signed it today. Phew! Oh, I almost forgot...it's an election year!

That link didn't work for me. Is that a different bill from the one that the House passed that would prevent federal courts from being able to rule on the consitutionality of the Pledge of Allegiance? Now that's some time well spent, since there just isn't anything more critical going on in the world, frankly.

No, [updated link above] it is...An Act to ensure that the right of an individual to display the flag of the United States on residential property not be abridged.

Was this a big problem? Where does this come from?

What the hell? Do we need to convince our lawmakers to work on bills that are important, or are we better off letting them waste their time with this crap so they don't pass any more bills coddling the stinking ri... er.. i'll stop there

You guys don't know how good you have it. The cops came around today and threatened to throw me in jail if I didn't take my American flag down!
