Do you believe in the Madden Curse?

Most recent Madden posterboy Shaun Alexander has had his slowest season start since 2002 and is now injured with a broken foot. Is he the latest victim of the Madden Curse. Is there really a hex on people who are on the videogame's cover.
Past players on the cover include:
Barry Sanders- who retired soon after appearing on the cover.
Dorsey levens- cut the next year by the Packers and his career never recovered.
Eddie George- Has a great season then botches the big pass in the playoffs.
Daunte Culpepper- Has a 4-7 season before hurting his knee.
Marshall Faulk- Injured and never had a 1000 yard season again.
Michael Vick- Injured in the preseason missing all but 5 games in the regular season.
Ray Lewis- First season w/o an interception and he got injured.
Donovan McNabb- Injury and assorted other problems.
Is the curse real?

I have no idea what you're talking about. You should have a choice for that in your poll.

Hell yes it's real. Also, it makes for great prop bets at the beginning of the year.

OK, I get it. Just don't know any of the names. Now I know football players aren't the brightest bulbs on the ceiling, but how can there be a 2007 video? Maybe its my bulb that's dim this morning.

There is no Madden Curse. Superstition of the silliest kind.

Was Andrew Johns ever on the cover?
There must be some supernatural explanation for how Brisbane beat Newcastle in the semi-finals last week.
(...and for all you bastards who laughed at me in Santa Cruz - no, there is nothing weird about a grown man carrying a 3-D photograph of a rugby league half-back around in his wallet. It's a completely normal, hetrosexual thing to do).

With a name like "Daunte Culpepper" - it sounds like that dude was cursed long before he ever got near the cover of a video game.

No, it's all about Joel and Benji Madden.
So it has nothing to do with Mark Madden?

A wrestling fan speaking the name of Mark Madden. Shame. Shame.

Please tell me you are joking. Mark Madden makes Don West look good. And that's saying something.

I heard it was Don West's idea so they can all sit together and he won't look as fat.

It's OK Roymond, you live in NYC.
No one here expects you or anyone else there to know about football players who succeed well enough to be nationally known.

Yikes. As a part-time New Yorker, I am insulted. But I must admit that when the curse hit Alexander, he was playing against the Giants and the Giants still lost.
