JamGlue

Someone sent me an invite to a Web2.0 collaboration app called JamGlue which seems a lot like the sort of thing that keeps on getting bounced around here, namely a place for musicians to collaborate on tracks online. I have 4 invites, for anyone who's interested, so the next 4 people to ask for an invite get one (and then we can just keep going down the list until everyone who wants one has one, yay exponential growth, assuming everyone gets 5 invites right off the bat - I had 5 but used one right away).
I haven't actually tried it yet but I thought others would want to check it out.

Yes, 4.
Oh yeah, post your email address so I know where to send it to. (Spamproofing is fine, e.g. fluffy at beesbuzz dot biz.)
Also it turns out that this is actually a startup which a former coworker of mine works at, which is how an invite ended up making its way to me.

I'm not sure if I completely understand this ... if I ask for an invite, do I have to take it? I want to check it out before I commit to anything, if it's possible.

You do, but it's not like it costs you anything (they don't require any personal information or anything). There's no way to see the site itself without using the invite though.
Sent one to wormsweater. 3 left.

Okay, I'm out of invites, but everyone I invited should have some now. If others want an invite they should probably just post here and hope someone else sends them one, and if they get one, edit their post to indicate that so none are wasted.

If anyone's got an invite, I might as well take one. I'm intrigued. If you want to send me one, then the email is joe at fusionstudents dot net.

Thanks wormsweater. I'm on as jr. If people want invites, pm me with your spamproofed address.
EDIT: Just a question - is this place for putting our own music up, or just remixing other songs and quotes?

I didn't see any way to register as or browse artists. I also see tons of pirated music (whatever...) so I don't know how this is very useful for artists to get the attention of inspired music lovers or collaborative want-a-bees.
So, my suckage rating is high. I'm also in a mood but it's not jumping out at me.

Not necessarily a good collab tool, but definitely a way to get your music some attention. Some people actually like my crap music. I'm kind of excited about this thing.
